A different prop this year..last year the owner neglected to tell us of some hurricane damage ( the whole birdcage over the pool was gone. The yard wasn't super secure so Zoey escaped the first five minutes we were there, and gave us bloody heart attacks (this year they have airtags). When we arrived the lock box didn't work, called the owner who suggested I didn't know how to work. I said I'm a realtor?! So he told me to bang it against the wall to make it work...really? He said he was two hours away and really couldn't help us (we had 200$ worth of groceries melting in the car), so we ended up finding a window we could wiggle open and climbed in thru that..yep we looked like hoodlums! I was a little pissed to say the least. It's the risk you take with these rentals. The most beautiful one we had two years ago was the best by far, but they increased the price over $5000 from the year before so that knocked us out of re renting which was a bummer.Mic and Claudia arrive a week after us and then my friend Cyndee from NM will come the 19th thru the end of the month with her 'friend' and they have rented another place nearby. I've been trying to put together a RE deal before I go, so of course that'll be happening until the minute I leave (was hoping I could solidify today.. but nope). Tomorrow I'll really start pulling it together..of course James is saying its so easy..ugh.
