I was just getting ready to send you a message. No answers yet, won't be until sometime on Monday. Thank you so much for the prayers. It was a long stressful day for us both. Although they kind of spoiled her at the vets office. They have a photo booth set up for Easter, so they put a pastel bandana and took a few pictures of her, took her outside and played a bit with her, so she wasn't confined to her kennel all day. After picking her up I just felt so much better. There was a change of plans, we didn't go shopping. My sisters disabled daughter was home, so we postponed our shopping trip. I tried to keep busy. No vertigo today, but a slight ear ache this evening. I was out raking leaves and it was quite windy so I think it must have caused some issues with my ear. I fully expect some vertigo to present itself really soon. I hope you have a great weekend. I will keep you posted about Sadye and if not too much to ask continued prayers for us. Give that sweet Penny some tummy rubs and ear scritches for us. Hugs!

Michelle, I'm doing ok. Very anxious as I have to take Sadye in for the additional blood test tomorrow. She will be gone all day. Will have answers tomorrow if she has Cushings. Going with my sister shopping tomorrow to try and keep my mind occupied throughout the day. I'm glad you are feeling somewhat better. I had a small spell at bed time night before last, but doing well since. I hope you have a great weekend. Hugs.

Michelle, Yes I do believe our pups are alike in many respects. I had to take Sadye to vet today. We did not get good news. Her liver panel showed an increase and they will be doing a specialized on Friday to see if she has Cushings disease. I know it is a common disorder with dachshund but I wasn't prepared to hear it. She will have to be there all day. They draw blood, at 8, 12, and again 4 and it will determine if she has it or not. Of course I'm a basket case. I don't know much about it so trying to educate myself and compile a list of questions for the vet on Friday. Sadye is overweight, and I get reprimanded everytime we go. Since her back injury she is more sedentary, and a very picky eater. So recently we put her on a liver supplement and starting her on a prescription dog food for kidney disease. She is a hot mess but I love her and fret about her so much. Our pups do give us lots of support and unconditional love. Sadye and I are home all week by ourselves, and as soon Daddy walks in the door it is all about him. It's cute to watch the two of them interact. How did you do with the Meclizine? I know you said you were experiencing some dizziness this morning. I hope it help

Michelle I'm so glad your blood work come back negative, but still no closer to an answer for you. The healthcare systems seems really broken. I know it can maddening to be at the hands of doctors and availability to see them. I think Penny and Sadye have similar personalities. She sits in our mud room with the door open so she can see out the storm door, and she is a barker. Anything that moves....lol. Or it seems that way. We live on a very busy street, I used to have to be very careful when we were out. I didn't always have her on her leash, but since her back injury a few years ago I can get to her quicker than I used to be able to. She is snarky most of time and it takes her a really long time to warm up to people.

So I have to warn everyone "not friendly" I always say she is meaner than snake oil. She just has not been around a lot of people so she is quite protective. I tell her all the time....Daddy's little girl, but Mama's whole world. I don't like to think about not having her in my life, so I try not to think about that, or I find myself in a funk and that is a hard place to come back from. She has an appointment tomorrow for a blood draw to check her liver function again. I'm hoping it is the same or better. I sure don't want bad news. I fret every time I take her.
