Good Morning Michelle, I sure hope those glasses work for Layne. The first go sounds encouraging.  My sister used to get a bit car sick when she was younger, it seems like the back seat was when she experienced it the most, but out grew it over the years. I am praying for a stress free visit. One thing we have control over who we will have here that will make a big difference. The circumstances surrounding Ed's divorce, there was a lot of betrayal not only on his ex wife to him, but her to Monica. Two of the girls took his side for 18 yrs. Then as time went on, they wanted a relationship back with their mother. I think that is great, but when they try to arrange celebrations, Roxanne(ex wife) is so in your face and so self absorbed that she flaunts herself to make her look like the queen bee. Therefore her daughters inviting their parents to things like that were very uncomfortable and not very pleasant for either Ed or I. So a lot of water under the bridge and many hurts to overcome. Yes I am very protective of Ed. I think most marriages that are strong, support and protect each other. So glad your mother was kind enough to not put you in the middle of it. Your mother sounds like she was a lovely woman. I know you miss her terribly and I totally understand. I hope you have a good day. Oh Michelle, I hate to hear that Layne seems to still be having some lingering effects of the concussion. I have never heard of those glasses before. I sure hope they help her. Bless her heart. She must have taken a really bad fall. Keep me posted. Really interested in how they work for her. Ed's family have had issues since the divorce with his ex wife. I sure don't care much for the way his daughters treat/or ignore their dad. Yes the situation is hard and I appreciate the positive energy. She will arrive tomorrow late afternoon, and they will be leaving on Saturday. It is raining here today. We sure need it. I hope you have a good day sending love and hugs to you and the girls.

Good Morning Michelle, Yes we are all so pleased that Scottie got home. Yes a long road ahead for all them. But she was one sick baby. We all were very concerned at the beginning, had many set backs but then her little body started responding to treatments. Great news about Layne, so glad the bruising is mostly gone. No more affects from the concussion I hope. Oh a celebration for Alina upcoming. She will be thrilled with all the attention. Or I hope she responds well. I know she struggles with things but hopefully being around family it will be a celebration and not a source of anxiety for her. Wow you have lots of celebrations this month. I believe Ed is happy about the visit from his daughter, although me not so much. They got married in 2024, there were some things that happened while we were there, it was quite hurtful for the both of us, but what really bothers me is that Ed was a source of support and strength for her during some really hard times, after 18 years of estrangement between her and her mother they rekindled their relationship, with that being said there were some very hurtful things and I could care less but the blatant hurt towards Ed is not easy for me to over

He doesn't say much about it, but I know how hurt he was. We discussed it when it all went down. We actually left the reception early because of the in your face situation. So I will keep my tongue, that is his daughter and I will welcome her and show her respect, but it does make for an uncomfortable feeling. Got most everything ready just last minute cleaning, some cooking and then they will be here. I awoke to some issues with freezing rain overnight. The steps were iced over this morning, but should be gone by midday. Still have Piper on my prayer list for her upcoming procedure. That is a great idea about the onsies instead of a cone. Michelle, haven't checked in for a bit. How is Layne, is she back to herself? I hope so. I saw today was Alina's birthday today. Hope she celebrated her special day. Have been busy this past week. Ed's daughter and son in law are flying in for a 4 day stay so had some housekeeping needing done. All done, except last minute stuff and cooking. Good news on Scottie on the little one who was quite ill in the hospital. She was able to come home on Saturday. She has physical therapy to do, she is very weak and can't walk, so still a long road. Yeesh - just made it to your post from Feb 14th...I really did get waaaay behind!  Have had a couple of quite busy weeks - so glad to finally get to the end of my returns!  Hope you had a nice time on Valentine's Day - glad you've seen some better weather.  We had out of town friends here on Feb 14th for the weekend, and then a big surprise party for my sister the following weekend - at my place of course - so it was another busy weekend and a busy kitchen week.
