Hello Michelle, I hope by the time this message reaches you the storm will have completely moved out of your area. Glad Penny is handling the potty business like a champ. Bless her heart. Ed has a snow plow on his garden tractor and he does a great job plowing our drive and all the areas Sadye uses to do her business. Of course it is never big enough for her, she still wants to get in the snow. When she was younger and before her back injury she would just romp in the snow, like there was not a care in the world. I sure miss seeing her so happy and playing in it. When she goes out she likes to sniff everything and has to find perfect blade of grass to do her business, I have told her there is no grass she can go anywhere, but she is very selective where she wants to go. I hope Larry didn't have to work too long today. I bet your son, had some long hours. When Ed lived in PA. He used to plow for the township and he worked long hours. The roads here in town are still pretty snow/ice covered. With the cold temps the salt they put down hasn't done much to melt anything. The roads down to St. Louis was completely clear when Ed went down. Not really looking forward to going out to my sisters tomorrow night, they hardly do anything to her roads out that way. I will just go slowly and take my time. Please stay safe, love up on the girls, sending love and hugs!

Morning Michelle, the sun is out but we set record low temp overnight. It was -11 feels like -30. Will be cold all week, but the sun shining sure helps. How are things out your way. I have had you in prayers. How is Penny? Poor baby, Is Larry working today? Ed will head back down this afternoon. Glad he was able to stay home yesterday. Continued prayers. Love up on the girls, sending love and hugs!

Hello Michelle, the storm has finally moved out of area after dumping 10" snow. Thank goodness no ice. Just all snow and brutally cold temps. Wow you are getting a lot of snow. Yes the cold temps are to stay in our neck of the woods for the week. Poor Penny, Sadye is much the same way, except she dally's around until she walk anymore and then she wants me to pick her up and carry her to the house. It's times like these I wish she would use training pads, but she has never used them. I hate to hear she was so cold she was crying. Bless her heart. Yes I know what you mean about not wanting to scold her. She does know that it isn't tolerated, but I guess for her it's the lesser of the two evils. We did most of our cooking yesterday, Ed wasn't sure if he would leave today or not. So we made homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight. It sure will be yummy on a day like this. Ed's job shut down due to the weather so he won't have to go down tonight. Thank goodness. One less worry for me. You guys stay hunkered down, stay safe and warm. Love up on the girls, sending love and hugs!

and I never knew Dan...but he was so stoic and such a nice young man. His wife is expecting baby #2. They have such a big family. Bartletts had 8 kids, so Cindy will be surrounded by lots of family the next few days. So sad bc Alfie was such a kind person.

Morning sprinkles....I was kind of surprised your message got cut off too. It usually doesn't. I will be praying for Piper. I know you will let me know how she did, once you get her back home. Yes earthquakes are such an unusual occurrence here that when they happen, so when they do, it is made into a big deal. Lots of talk and discussions about them. Yes I did feel it, Sadye was acting peculiar and I was trying to get her settle down to go to sleep and then about 10 minutes later I felt it. It was quite unsettling. I almost knew what it was, I tried to find to see if there were any reports but there wasn't until the next morning. Nothing moved or anything like that. Yes we are also expecting the brutally cold and some snow this weekend. They really haven't given a definitive forecast because they are not sure how it will effect us, so just waiting for them to finally decide how it will effect our area. Today it is about Sadye, she is going to get a bath. I hope you have a good day, stay safe and warm. Sending love and hugs!

Good afternoon Michelle, It sounds like you had a good birthday. I saw you were out with the littles celebrating. It has warmed up today, but over the past weekend we were in brutally cold temps and more on tap at the end of the week. Wow 3 water main breaks. That's alot. At least you weren't affected by them. That'sĀ  good news. I know the woes of getting our fur babies out to do their business. Sadye is very much like Penny. She wants to sniff everything, stares at the ground, has to find the perfect blade of grass to do her business on, and if distracted by a noise or the wind, back to the beginning. All the while I'm trying to not hurry her, so she can finish, but she has no intention to go in until she is ready, and then like Penny, her paws are cold and she wants me to pick her up. Continued below.

She doesn't mind her coat, and I did buy boots and that didn't go well. So we just take her out in her birthday suit. I can't imagine having to get two babies all geared up to go potty. Exhausting just thinking about it. Sadye is feeling well. Back to her normal self. Thank goodness. She was a sick little one for several days. I am still spoon feeding her kidney food, I don't see that changing anytime soon. I hope Penny starts eating soon. Bless her heart. Oh no Piper picking up on Penny's little inconsistencies. Your message cut off so not sure what else was in it. The only news I have to share, we had a earthquake here in Central Illinois, very rare, I was still awake and felt it. It was a 3.8 on the scale. No damage, just unsettling when the whole house is shaking for several seconds. This happened during the night before last. Sadye was acting peculiar before it happened and I researched and it said animals can sense them, either in the change in the environment, so she must have been sensitive to the changes. I hope you have a great rest of your week. Love up on the girls, sending hugs!

OMG...Don called me outside to see the huge crane that is at the intersection nearby.  I hope it's not a watermain break.  Aaaaack!  xxx
