Hi, Michelle!  Oh, I've been busy putting up Christmas decorations yesterday.  Sciatica played up last evening but it's pretty good today.  Put a few lights in the front window today...a Cardinal and snowflakes!  It's nice seeing all the memories that have been tucked away all year.  I have so many beanie baby toys from McDonalds and other Happy Meal Toys.  Boxes and boxes.  When the kids were young, had a big McDonald's tree with a "M" I made out of cardboard and aluminum foil.  LOL  When I put the tree up yesterday, saw an ornament my boss made me in 1971...an angel.  Put it on the tree every year.  Jane Custer was so nice!  Randy enjoyed all the activity.  Your dogs were so cute in the recent pictures.  You have a beautiful home and decorations that match!  :)  xxx

Hello Michelle, I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving day. It sounds like a good time. It's nice that you are included in that nice big get together. We have a small gathering. Just 9 of us. It is nice. We used to have a much larger gathering years ago, and a certain circumstance within our family changed that, therefore it has morphed into a nice more manageable and peaceful time. Sadye went with us and I was surprised that she didn't go stay in Jenny's bedroom, she stayed out with us in the crown, either on my lap or Eds. Yes we do worry about fur babies. I know the situation with Penny and Piper isn't what you envisioned for your little family, but give it time. I pray Penny will warm up to Piper a little more each new day. Just give it time....Penny was mama's girl. She has to learn to share her mama with another loving baby. It will come, may just take a little longer than you wanted but it will come. It's an adjustment for you all. Sounds like Piper is finally settling in. That's great news. Continued below.

We are expecting our first first snow this weekend. We are under winter weather storm watch/warning. Maybe 6 more inches of snow. I hope it goes quickly. My sister and I are going to Chicago on Wednesday to a German Christkindle Market, it's like a real European Christmas Market, her husband was stationed in Germany and she really wanted to go, we are going up Wednesday and coming home Thursday morning, she is so excited. But it is an outdoor market and it is going to be cold and windy so hopefully we won't have to deal with snow too. We shall see. I hope you have a great weekend. Sending love and hugs!

Hello Michelle, I hope you all are doing well. It looks like you all are still settling in with Piper. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Are you cooking and will you be seeing the littles? Sadye is still about the same, this episode is slow going. She will be going out with us to Kathy's for Thanksgiving, she will probably go hide in Jenny's bedroon, but she won't be home alone. Sending love and hugs to you all. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Hope the snow isn't too deep Michelle!  We have only a smattering, and a very mild day today.  It is going to drop below zero next week, but at least this year the transition has been gradual - not nice day to -30 overnight and skating rinks for roads - that was miserable.  Stay warm in any case - cuddle with a puppy!

Good Morning Michelle, no apologies needed for not responding right away. You got your hands full with Piper, I remember how exhausting it can be with a puppy, they are so needy. It is good news to hear that Penny is slowly coming around. It will take time, but it will all work itself out. Just takes time. Sounds like Piper is learning a lot, about sleeping, using potty pads and all different kinds of weather. Hopefully she wont be too anxious with storms. Our weather here has been good for the most part. We need moisture so badly. I went to put some things on the graves, and the ground is so hard it is like concrete. I ended up snapping off one of the prongs so Ed will need to repair it, we are expecting rain later in the week, so maybe after some rain I can try again to put the things out at the cemetery. No real snow to speak of, a few flurries last weekend. That's it. Continued below...

Sadye is doing well. Yes the prednisone does help her, but the vet wants to be careful because it can increase her liver and kidney functions, so when necessary she can use. She was on a tapered off of it situation, she only has 2 more left so 2 more days. She is getting around better, but boy she sure does fight me, with her meds. I have to manually put down her, she won't take them even if I put them in something tasty. I think she has a superman nose, and can smell as soon as I come near her. I have still photos of the dog still being in the yard. I do believe this will be a continual problem. Just arent very responsible with much of anything. There yard is like a landfill, the toddler plays on the top landing of concrete stairs, and they constantly yell at the kids. Bad deal. I hope you have a great week ahead. Love up on those sweet girls when you get a chance. Sending love and hugs to you all. Please give my regards to Larry. Oh by the way ....enjoy that fresh honey. Looks yummy!

Hi, Michelle!  What a drive to the doctor's office on N. Rainbow.  OMG...Don thought if he could find a location on Buffalo we could then get to Rainbow.  Not so...the navigator took us on the freeway to twisty turns and even though we went to Redrock Hotel/Casino to use their restroom, we ended up being early and waited 1/2 hour in the car...being 1/2 hour early once inside.  LOL  Everything is ok...blood work was great.  He thinks Don might have acquired an allergy with his swollen lip.  Says it's not cancer and to take Zertec for 2 weeks at bedtime.  Maybe keeping a food record might help, too.  I lost a little over 2 lbs., so that made me happy!  LOL.  They do the memory test now and again.  So I had to draw the clock and tell the time after he gave me three words to remember.  I had no trouble remember the words or the clock....so that's a good sign.  Don remembered his, also!  Whew!  ;)  We didn't get home until after dark.  OMG...when on the freeways in Las Vegas, they treat it like a road race.  It's very scary.  Don is worn out from the stress.  Good thing we don't go back until May and then it will be light when we return home.  I'm sure Piper keeps you super busy.  A day

Hello Michelle, We have been dealing  with the neighbor who has 2 larger dogs, one a pit bull and another I think is a boxer mix since April, which was the first incident I started documenting. I have called animal control several times and Ed has spoken to them, but every time there is an incident and he goes to have a conversation with them, they hide. They won't answer the door. So this time he come and we had a discussion about what my rights are with a dog running at large and in my yard. So I feel better that I have a better understanding, but that really doesn't give me any protection for Sadye. I guess every one has to deal with people who don't feel like the law applies to them. I'm sorry to hear that you have to experience some of the same. So I took her this morning and they did some x rays, she has compression more just below her shoulders, than her hip area that was injured before. She come home with prednisone, a muscle relaxer, and gabapentin for pain. She doesn't need to see her back unless she isn't any better after 2 weeks of treatment. I also inquired about the amount of time and how often I can laser therapy on her.
