So glad to hear Piper is doing well. Sounds like she has bounced right back after her procedure and that is great news. I can only imagine how you are trying to keep her calm, in all her puppiness, she isn't having any of that. It will be entertaining to see how she gets used to being outside. Once she realizes the freedom of being outside, and all the smells, that will be new to her. We had some beautiful days, but today it turned off quite chilly again. Hope little Piper isn't too uncomfortable this evening. So glad she got through the procedure with no real issues. How is nurse Penny taking care of her? Hello Michelle, I hope you all have an enjoyable evening celebrating Alina. Bless her heart. Goldfish are good too. What ever makes her happy. Yes the visit went fine. But I must say it's good to have some normalcy. Maybe it's just me,  but I find it quite rude, when someone comes in and thinks it's their home, adds stuff to food, not asking, doubling up on the coffee, when not used to it being as thick as mud. Ed has 2 daughters who think they should be able to do what they normally do. At one point she was going to put a lot of stuff in the hash browns and I had to politely tell her, not to add too much to it because her dad doesn't like it. Continued below...

Then before we got up in the morning she would add double the amount of coffee, I thought she had done it on Friday morning but I didn't say anything, then yesterday morning I said to her jokingly did you add more coffee, she giggled and said yes,  I had several coffee filters loaded up just to be able to switch quickly and she had done it to all of them. Needless to say, Ed nor I drank too much coffee oh well just another day and now we are back to normal. I just have to shake my head as to how bold they are, they got that from their mother. Ed said Roxanne does the same thing. LOL!!! Yes it very nice of them to take us out to dinner. It was quite yummy. I will be praying for sweet Piper and you. I know how anxious you are. I always get the same way. I will be awaiting an update when you have time as to how things went. Well I must get myself busy as we need to get Ed ready to go back on the road to work. Hello Michelle, nice and quiet on the home front. The visit went well, no real issues and I believe we all enjoyed the time together. No mention of past hurts so maybe we can move forward and let by gones be by gones. I hope so. They took us out for dinner last night. Ed's birthday is tomorrow, so they wanted to take him out to treat him. It was yummy. I will tell you....I sure like having our house back to normal. Sadye did pretty well. She only really barked when they moved quickly or come in from being out and about. Really proud of her. It could have been really bad, but she did well. We had to turn the A/C on yesterday, it got over 70 degrees and they were complaining how hot it was, we turned it off this morning, and the furnace actually kicked on. We are both tired...we just aren't used to all the extra stuff. Tomorrow will be busy getting Ed ready to go back down to work. It was nice having him home. I hope your celebration for Alina was a success. I have Piper in my prayers, will you get back tomorrow after the procedure. Sending good vibes to you...I know you are probably pretty anxious. Hello Michelle, the visit is going well. Yes his ex is something I really don't care for her much. She has a high energy personality and very over the top. We have had rain the last few days. It's supposed to be in the 70's here tomorrow. Spring things are poking out of the ground already. Seeing that is always a good sign. Glad Piper's blood work come out good. I will have her in my prayers for sure. I saw the short video of Penny chasing her through the house, warmed my heart to see the two of them playing. I agree it's always easier to get things done while they are already under sedation instead of doing more procedures. Bless her heart. Sadye is doing surprisingly well with the house guests. Good Morning Michelle, I sure hope those glasses work for Layne. The first go sounds encouraging.  My sister used to get a bit car sick when she was younger, it seems like the back seat was when she experienced it the most, but out grew it over the years. I am praying for a stress free visit. One thing we have control over who we will have here that will make a big difference. The circumstances surrounding Ed's divorce, there was a lot of betrayal not only on his ex wife to him, but her to Monica. Two of the girls took his side for 18 yrs. Then as time went on, they wanted a relationship back with their mother. I think that is great, but when they try to arrange celebrations, Roxanne(ex wife) is so in your face and so self absorbed that she flaunts herself to make her look like the queen bee. Therefore her daughters inviting their parents to things like that were very uncomfortable and not very pleasant for either Ed or I. So a lot of water under the bridge and many hurts to overcome. Yes I am very protective of Ed. I think most marriages that are strong, support and protect each other. So glad your mother was kind enough to not put you in the middle of it. Oh Michelle, I hate to hear that Layne seems to still be having some lingering effects of the concussion. I have never heard of those glasses before. I sure hope they help her. Bless her heart. She must have taken a really bad fall. Keep me posted. Really interested in how they work for her. Ed's family have had issues since the divorce with his ex wife. I sure don't care much for the way his daughters treat/or ignore their dad. Yes the situation is hard and I appreciate the positive energy.
