Sounds like a fun Sunday…I’ll bet Landon and Roman love the shark teeth. We brought one of the 4-wheelers to camp today, the side by side. Liam’s is still in our garage. We will bring that the next time we go. That one can go in the back of the truck. Cold day today but no snow. It’s going to be cold all week. Have a fun lunch date tomorrow!!💜

I’m sure once they get going things will fall into place. Are you doing the family room over too? It will be nice when it’s all finished and you can enjoy it. I’m loving our new cooktop. It’s much easier to keep clean. I hated the griddle though and sent it back. We seasoned it according to the manufacturer instructions too. It was cast iron but very very rough. I used it one night for dinner and a few hours later it was rusty. I don’t have time for that so back it went. I’m trying to find a replacement that’s not cast iron.

Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. Dementia is a dreadful disease. It tons of so much. It’s mid sixties this morning with very high winds. When I took Penny out this morning we both almost blew away. Yesterday was a nice day but it never got up to 70 and the sun was limited. Tomorrow back to winter. How’s the kitchen coming along?

Oh ok, sounds like Sauders. Sailing pounds fun. When I was young a friend of mine sister had a sailboat and her husband used to take us out sailing. It’s quite involved. Today is another warm and sunny day. It’s 66 degrees!! It was 45 when I got up at 5:45 but it was 30 at the airport. The news was saying there was a difference in temperature around central NY of like 20 degrees. Have fun today, I’m going for a walk now with Penny.

Working with someone you know must be a relief. I’m glad you like him and have trust in him. Larry did all of the gutting himself. He removed the countertops and cabinets. Took the walls down to the studs, took out the flooring , put in the insulation and new subfloor and did the new plumbing. We had a couple different contractors that we knew as well so that was nice. Even with Larry doing all the work he did do it still cost well over $30 K 12 years ago…yikes😬. Happy travels tomorrow and drive safe❤️

I’m not surprised you are losing sleep. A kitchen remodel is stressful. Being away during a good part of it must be stressful as well. Thank God for cell phones and FaceTime!! You are trying to envision what it will look like without actually knowing what it will look like and hoping that you like it… most times everything turns out great and you are happy. We were originally working with a man who wasn’t trained enough in designing a kitchen in my opinion. Nothing he did made sense. I’m so glad we found Kelly because she knew what she was doing. I’m pretty sure if we went with the other designer I would’ve been unhappy with lots of things. Are you going to continue to play or are you going to freeze your garden while you are gone?  I’m slowly working on my level 2 challenges and doing the easy pottery lottery every month.

We are replacing our cooktop. There’s nothing wrong with the one we have, it works fine. It’s black porcelain…I wanted at the time to match the countertop but it’s very hard to keep clean. It’s always streaky. I’ve bought all kinds of cleaning products and nothing works. Even a pot of boiling water causes a mess🤦🏻‍♀️. Anyway, we bought a 5 burner stainless one…same brand…GE with a griddle. Just waiting for it to come in. I saved $81 by ordering it online myself rather than going through Lowe’s… crazy how that is. Countertops are tricky when you are just looking at a giant slab because you are not quite sure what parts are going to actually be used…the opening for the sink, cooktop or whatever could be the area you love and don’t realize it will be gone. After it’s installed though it will look great. We have a nice weather forecast ahead for this week. I hope the warm up is slow though to avoid flooding. Everything will be wet and dirty soon…ugh, that’s why I hate spring😩. My favorite is Fall followed by winter then summer and lastly spring!! Enjoy the weather this week!!

We picked our slabs…I think we needed 2. There was a big difference between all of them. I remember it being overwhelming because I didn’t know what part of the slab would we visible and where about it would be. We don’t have a stove. We have a cooktop in our island with our microwave and oven on the wall. The woman we designed the kitchen with did an excellent job. She told us that the appliances should be layed out in a triangle and she paid special attention to where certain cabinets should be placed to make cooking easier. I didn’t think Mikaela was getting married this year. Are Billy and Beth going to the wedding too?  I met you right after she was born…back in my Movie Gallery days when I was trying not to get electrocuted with the heat gun while trying to get the movies out of the drop box…I can still here you now yelling to me that you didn’t think that was a good idea and then Larry showing up snd you came out to tell him I shouldn’t be doing that 🤣. And also, I remember you trying to teach me how to do the credit card thing. When I started we were doing inventory and I was never trained. I was left to figure it out myself😬🤦🏻‍♀️. Those were fun times though!!

The sanding of the sheet rock is the worst. The amount of dust from it is crazy. Did you empty the entire downstairs or just the kitchen? Are you opening up the whole downstairs to have just one giant room? What color countertop did you go with? I was surprised to see how much snow we got overnight. I didn’t think there was much in the forecast. A few more days of this it will be up to our windows. Larry has been going in at 4 am pretty much everyday so far this year with a break here and there. I’m sure he is over it!! How many days will it take you to get to Florida? Are you staying at the same place as last year? What is going on with Jennifer? How is Makayla doing?  Have a great day and enjoy the weekend!!
