With respect to your Nana, it
sounds as though that may
have been one way to place
my Father when I placed him
in long-term care ~ I must
have toured about 20
facilities before finding the
perfect one for him and as
luck would have it, they had
an opening for him a week
or two after my visit! He
was in the memory care
unit for 6 years before lapsing
into an aspiration induced
pneumonia comma ~ Randy
was with me when he took his
last breath ~ Dad passed in
2008 and it was 'the long goodbye'
It's one thing to loose someone
intellectually, and quite another
on an emotional level ~ How
wonderful for your Family, that
your Nana thought she was on
holiday :)
