Good morning Nicky, so pleased you got on ok and sorted. Fathers day in Germany is always on Assention Daythe idea is that as Jesus went back to his Father then children on Earth go back to theirs. I actually like that thinking unlike German Mothers day which is just a following of American ways. I am about to go to the Farmers Market if i can before the rain comes this weather is driving everyone mad. I said to the family what i thought and felt but im disappointed that they only partly agreed and i dont feel im getting the encouragement to live whats left as possitive as possible I guess they are just too young to realy understand, you are the only person who openly encourages me so Thank you Nicky. xxxxxxx

Hiya lovely, sorry I’m late replying, it’s been a mad day and night here. I’m going to try and do what you do and split the message lol, as I always forget the end disappears.
See, for me, I love London. It’s been my safe haven for over 30 years now. I first came here in the 80s, when certain attitudes were still rife in this country, especially towards the Irish. I still remember things like The Sun encouraging people to spy on their Irish neighbours. Thankfully, things really started to change by the 90s, racism became far less accepted, the Irish were more welcomed, and when I started dating Den in the 90s, we were always treated well as an interracial couple.
I know London gets a bad reputation sometimes, but honestly, I don’t think it’s any worse or better than anywhere else. Of course there are problems, it’s a huge city with millions of people, but it’s also a fantastic place to live with some of the best people

My eldest son lives in East London, and my youngest went to Goldsmiths University in New Cross, so he lived there for a few years too. The only area I don’t really know that well is North London.
I do think a lot of places have sadly gone downhill though. So many big-name shops have disappeared, and most people seem to favour the West End now. Spending on local high streets has dropped massively over the last 10 years or so. The cost of living has pushed so many people towards online shopping because it’s cheaper, hasn’t it.
I’m with you though, I really worry about this generation too. So many young people can’t do basic things for themselves anymore, which honestly concerns me. They seem to get most of their information from TikTok and X lol, and they’re probably the least well-read generation in decades. It really is worrying.

There’s nothing wrong with spoiling our children in the right way though — there’s definitely a right and wrong way to do it eh. I bet your son is wonderful because of your disability, hun. He’ll have learned compassion, empathy, and how to care for others, which are such important qualities to have.
You’ve also been blessed to have such a lovely mum. Not everyone would step in and help care for both of you the way she has. I’m so very sorry though, because it really isn’t much of a quality of life, is it. I’m not quite wheelchair-bound yet, but I’m not far off it either. It is what it is I suppose, though thankfully for me it hasn’t been going on for as long as it has for you.
I completely hear you though. I worry for my boys’ future too, and it honestly breaks my heart seeing how hard things have become for young people nowadays.

Its been another wet and windy day here never mind it can only get better x I just did some inside jobs and we did the food shop its getting more expensive by the week now x I hope your hospital appointment went well and your not to tired x All your appointments are very close together you should have a word with he doctor if you see him today for an explanation i think it must be a mistake x That is so costly for a cabs do you not qualify for patient transport i think you should enquire about it x Will you need to stay in hospital for a few days when they fit the internal heart monitor x It never rains but it pours everything happening at once for you i would be in hiding to x  I was talking to your Mum today i watered without checking the stats and she had been watering i have seen her around but didnt know she was your Mum x
I was 5ft when i was younger but have shrank a little now the boys are tall but not quite as tall as Luke they call me shorty in fun could be worse lol x I havent seen that series Good Omens i must give it a twirl where can i find it xx I like David Tennant to xx Anyway will love you and leave you for now x Enjoy
