❤️ Hello, thanks for your visit and thanks for critters I spot and for the critters you spot in mine ❤️

The rose bush sounds like it's very happy, I don't have any roses at the moment. A few years ago the people who owned Sue and Ian's bungalow had them all around the front garden but they got something called black spot and they lost most of their leaves. The problem is it stays in the soil for years and I noticed some shrubs Sue planted caught it and she had to spray them a couple of times to get rid. I did try to grow one at the back but that eventually caught it too so I dug it up and planted a honey suckle which went crazy and that had to go! I can be brutal.

I did manage to get the bird seed today and have been working on a Wasjig called New Year Resolutions which Maggie brought with her last time.

Hi Janet, it's been another windy sunny day in the low 50's. It's still dry and the garden needs watering. I don't water much, only the pots, the rest has to take a chance. I'm fortunate at the moment I don't have a water meter but I've had a letter from the water people telling me they are going to put one in sometime during the next year. It means I'll pay for what I use, at the moment I could have taps on all day and pay a set amount. I think it will much more expensive once it's fitted.

As for Tommy the tortoise I'm waiting to see if I get a call from Dawn. She'll let me know if I'm needed, fingers crossed he'll be fine until she gets back from her holiday. We'll be meeting up then and I can give her the information that Tessa supplied, about a tortoise sanctuary.
