Hello Dianne, I hope you're well. I have to tell you that sadly I have given up working at the hedgehog rescue centre. It was too much responsibility and quite stressful, and I wasn't really enjoying the medical side of it in the end. But I'm hoping I can stay in touch with the hoggies and the people there (who are lovely) by volunteering now and then. So that's quite a relief, although I'll miss them all. And meanwhile I need to get another job, aargghh! Not panicking yet, but it won't take long if I don't get some promising leads soon...

Hi, Dianne!  Chris sent me a Mother's Day gift.  He also sent me a message saying he's working and everything has been going well.  I only want him to be ok.  I'm really happy to have some communication with him again.  On another subject, counted approximately 16 buds on the rose bush!  :)  So this evening, put some miracle grow on her.  :)  Busy day with changing Don's bed, running the sweeper throughout the house, etc.  By the weekend we'll have 98 degree days.  OMG!  They are here now!  Hope you have a nice Thursday.  Give Lizzy a hug from us and Randy has been pretty good lately.  :)  xxx

Hi, Dianne!  Happy to hear you're doing well...Lizzy, too.  It will warm up soon for you.  We've had a different Spring this year.  High's in the 90's for a few days, and that doesn't usually happen until May or June.  The tree out front is mixed up but we are starting to see some progress with leafing....but very little still.  The rose bush has lots of buds now, but still encouraging it to grow.  :)  I did take pictures of the buds and will try to post them.  We have an appointment at the doctor's office over the mountain and to Summerlin.  We will check to see if that is our appointment if we get no confirmation online.  We weren't given an appt. card and don't trust my memory.  Ha ha!  Might get out front today to check on the Lantana, to keep it off the sidewalk and get the spent cactus blooms off the prickly pears.  I'm making a small wooden house for the 250th celebration of America.  I put a hand made flag on the front of the house and a medallion of "1776-2026" on the back of the house.  Just for something fun to do instead of a jigsaw.  It's good the twins are busy pet sitting and having some savings/spending money at their age.  I used to babysit when young ... mostly to buy Beatle records.  LOL  Suzi babysat and Christopher worked at fast food/pizza places.  I must say, my son hasn't exactly had the future we had in mind for him.  :(  Luckily, his dad has let him stay with him.  He is 52...on his way to 53 this year, 2 children (different mothers), only married to 1.  Recent foot/ankle surgeries.  Not working.  I pray every day he stays off of alcohol.  It's a sad situation.  We hardly ever have talks.  I think he is so down, just doesn't want to connect.  Oh, well, we tried hard to raise him right.  Take care, Dianne.  xxx

Hi, Dianne!  Randy says "woof" to Lizzy!  He's been having some back leg problems.  Last evening, Don put him in bed with me.  I don't think he wanted to jump up so kept walking to the closet to look around.  :(  We won't play catch with him for a while to see if he mends.  Our "walk in" at Quest didn't work out so well this morning, so fasting was not much fun.  Our on line appt., now is Thursday....so we get to do it all over again.  Ha ha!  I like coffee in the mornings!  King Charles really had them on their feet!  I'll try some coffee grounds near the base of the rosebush!  Thanks for the tip!  Better get a bit of work done around here.  Take care!  xxx

I kept asking Don what kind of surgery is Sandy having...and we both suspected it was intestinal.  Nope, she was having uterine bleeding.  They will let her know next week what the biopsy will show, but the nurse told her it looked normal to her.  Oh, and Tyler must be starting his treatment this coming week.  Take care & don't work too hard!  :)  xxx

P.S.  We're waiting to hear from Eric, Sandy's youngest son, regarding her surgery today.
