Happy Friday Carmen ~enjoying a sunny one here, weather is so strange here this winter.  Snow is melting in the mts, not good there.  Hope you and your Mum enjoy the weekend.  Cindy is treating me to a musical play at the Paramount, Neil Diamond musical. Good afternoon Carmen and a "Happy Belated Birthday" to Jonathan, I hope he had a lovely day - the dinner you made for him sounds absolutely delicious - you're quite a cook I think? I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like for people to live with the constant worry, the fear of these ICE Agents. I know we only really get to see the extremes, it's what makes the headlines and gets the views but those shown seem to be little more than thugs. 3000! Good grief!! 60lbs within a year is a heck of a lot to lose under normal circumstances, trying to do that when exercising, when any exertion is problematic, seems virtually impossible. I'm not prepared, yet, to go to any extremes, I just won't do that at the expense of my mental health. Been there, done it before.

As usual, the doctor dropped the bomb and then went 'radio silent' as it were so I guess for now I keep trying as I am and wait to hear. I hope your access to the sort of care your mom needs is better than here in the UK! If you can afford private assistance here (and even then you have to be careful) then all well and good but if you're needing Government help, good luck! The waiting lists are astronomical, more often than not the care is inadequate for the needs of the client and, in far, far too many cases borders on neglect. It's awful and a real 'postcode lottery' as to the funding and facilities available. It's great that your mom has you, your sister and your brother to advocate for her. Have a safe journey over to mom's and, fingers crossed, something can be arranged for her groceries. Be thinking of you xx
