I think most of the 'stuff' was down to my aunt and after she died he was not well enough so just ignored it. I told Diane that when I'm passing if her car is there I'll go in and give her a hand. After my experience there I made a vow to be very strict and start clearing my cupboards, I have this feeling that Tess and Sam will wish me in hades if I leave a mess like that.

I can't see the gardener coming on Monday as the forecast is more of the same so if there's a break in the weather tomorrow I may get out in the garden for a while.

I hope you're wrong about your face and it improves with time.

Hi Janet, the weather has changed it was wet and windy all morning with a little sun this afternoon and the temps have gone down to about 60. Still for mid October that's not too bad.
We've been lucky in my part of the country, it's the West and Scotland that are about to get 70-80mph winds with risk of flooding, where I am we're getting the tail end of it. Tomorrow looks like more rain for me so I'll be getting on with my puzzle, I may even finish it.

What a shame about Max even if it was expected, I wonder how he'll be about not going home, if he does get well enough. There's every possibility that he'll be like my uncle and love it as there's no worries with others taking care of him. Talking of Uncle I went past his house today and his brother and sister in law were there. I get on well with Diane, his sister in law, so I stopped to see how she is [she's waiting for a cancer op]. I helped her sort through some handbags [at least a dozen], purses [new], clothes [unworn], hats, gloves, scarfs and other bits and pieces. There's so much I reckon it will take weeks and weeks.
