Hi, overcast day here which means I will be on FL more & may get a few bits done around the house instead of sitting in the sun reading!   Thanks for spots in mine ~ I am still, after 3 days, trying to spot a Mammoth.  Got many tabs open for Mammoth gardens but I just can't catch one!  Frustrating! x

Yes , very peaceful at the official Iris Garden Opening ~ it's a great improvement on what was there before.  We are mostly closed on Mondays except on bank holidays & school holiday so it was just NT staff & volunteers,    Yes come again on a "normal" day to see it all at it's best .  If you come on a day when I am there I can get one person in for free!  ~ Back to hunting Woolly Mammoth now x

Well!!! I have just been at Nunnington this pm for the grand opening of the New Iris Garden.  (Closed to the public today) ..... Was informed that they had about 3800 visitors yesterday ~ that must have been horrendous on so many levels!  They even had to close for an hour as they were full to capacity!   I would have hated it.  We usually get an average of about 350 visitors on Saturdays & Sundays.  It's usually a  calm & serene place that I love xx

Great ~ I bet it was busy both at the Hall & in Pickering   I have been for my pub Sunday Dinner & am now back to reading in my garden.  At least I will be in 5 minutes!  Only 20 pages to finish my book ~ haven't neen able to put it down xx
