I feel as though I've not done much else, I'm not very good at waiting around, I tend to potter about and not get much done. I did dust and vacuum then decided to do some of the puzzle. I also phoned Maggie as it was her sister's funeral yesterday. She said it went well and she was pleased I'd not gone as she'd been so busy with her cousin from Scotland and a friend from London, she said she been really tied up with them. I wasn't sorry I'd stayed home I wouldn't have enjoyed driving in all the rain we had and I had no idea where the service was happening. It would have been a nightmare.

I'm glad your arm is on the mend maybe you trapped a nerve that can be very painful.

I'm waiting for another Rainbow dragon to be found in my garden, still I've got another 3 weeks and I'm happy you found your Hare.

I spoke with Ian this afternoon and he told me Sue was in hospital. I thought for a minute that she'd been taken ill but he said it was that she had a place on her eye lid and they were going to remove it and he said it was a cancer, I'm hoping all is well. A couple of weeks ago she did mention there was a problem but she didn't say it was cancer so I'm wondering if she didn't know until she got in there today. He said she should be home later this afternoon but apparently they'd had to sedate her as her blood pressure was sky high, that's what makes me think she didn't know before hand.

I take my car to the other end of town so after I'd dropped it off I walked down the main road to a charity shop. The lady volunteering in it remembered me from my days at the council, she said I hadn't changed at all. I wish, that's nearly 18 years ago!!

Hi Janet, it's been another showery day and when I say showers we had thunder and lightening this afternoon. We've had more rain in the last week than in the previous couple of months.

I took the car to Andrew and got a phone call at 2 to say he was still working on it! Then his wife who works in the office phoned to say although they'd now finished and I could have it back they were on their way home. Fortunately I have another key so they parked it outside and I went down by taxi to collect it. I will need to go back Thursday to pay. I would go tomorrow but he doesn't open Wednesdays as it's his garage and he's coming up to retirement so has cut back on his work load. As for the spare wheel apparently it's almost normal now not to have one. I have asked if he will get one for me as I hate not having it. The roads are so bad with pot holes sooner or later I'll get a flat tyre.
