I had a phone call from my friend Sheila this evening. Her son, Guy, who lives with her, works at the local Birds Eye factory as an engineer. He had a serious accident today, he fell and broke his femur, thigh bone. Apparently they took him to hospital and straightened the leg and should operate to pin it tomorrow. She spent all day with him and only phoned about 9 this evening when she got home. I said she should have called earlier but she said Anna had collected her and she was going to have an early night. When she wants to visit I've promised to take her as she no longer drives. Anna may go to see him tomorrow if he's allowed visitors which will give Sheila a chance to relax. What with the baby being ill and now this at 86 she really doesn't need so much worry.
I do hope you get the ring back, surely the other people must have realized they had the wrong one. All I can say is if they don't come up with it you are going to need a very expensive replacement.
