Hi! Raining again, I could do with some snow but it's rare here and it usually last no more than 1 day :((
Pastries were good! I got a few with zabaione (that's my fav!) and some with chocolate and rum. And a big one filled with fresh cream and pistachio. First time I bought in that pastry shop and it gets the thumb up, also very good price!
Kitties loved the treat, they are disappointed we are back to the usual food lol

The weather looks terrible over there. We’re just getting rain, but day after day of the stuff. The days are very grey & gloomy. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit better & we might see a bit of sun.
I’m treading water here until 1st Feb for the new pot.  It was my birthday yesterday, had a lovely meal with the family on Sunday. My cousin is coming tomorrow so we’re eating out again lol.
Be glad to get into next week as there’s no appointments lined up.
Glad your ears are settling, hope you’re finally shaking off whatever it is you’ve had. Trevor has had a silly cough, it only comes on as soon as he lays down to sleep. Thought it went away but it was back with a vengeance last night lol. He only coughs twice, then quiet for a couple of minutes. It took a few doses of cough linctus to finally shut him up. I hope you don’t get any more snow. Really beauty of have a layer of ice on top. Even worse if it snows over the ice, just as dangerous underfoot.. You’d laugh at our version of cold lol. We’re supposed to get snow next week, but plenty of time to change as it’s probably what you’ve had that turns to rain by the time it hits here. Keep on staying warm Ginger xxx

Hi Ginger! Today it makes 13 years since my male cat came to live with me. Also have a female cat that will turn 13 at the end of march. Got them some small cans of yummy food, the yummy but not-too-healthy kind lol. I get those only on special occasions, they love it because it has added flavors. Also got some pastries for me and my friend ;))
How are you today? Did the storm hit?

Glad your ears are feeling better. Do you use things like menthol crystals, Vicks etc to try & clear the sinuses? I use the crystals, thry blow your head off lol but you feel clearer.
Your health care system is so different to ours. If any of our health care people retire, we’re assigned to someone else. I can see in the future we’ll have to start paying for medical treatment, hopefully if it happens, we’re no longer here. I hope you can find someone for your eyes, awful when you can’t see clearly, especially in the dark..  See you back here when the February pottery lottery arrives. I have a busy week of appointments next week, then hopefully that’ll be it until April. Take care Ginger xx

Hi Ginger, hope the feeling in your ears continues to improve. Awful feeling like that. See what they say when they look at mine tomorrow lol. Be glad to get that appointment out of the way. At the dentist this morning, back to have a tooth out later. These medical things always come all at the same time. I have my mammogram next week. Hopefully that’s it lol. I have to be careful indoors too, think we all do. I have a night light in the bedroom, couldn’t be without it especially as I’m up a couple of times in the night. Maybe I’ll see better when I get my cataracts done, will be getting eyes tested in March & hopefully they’re ready to be done as I’m not seeing too well now. Carry on taking care of yourself Ginger, soon be Spring ❤️❤️

So pleased to hear you’re getting there & feeling better than you did.  The hospital appointment is one I’m pleased has been brought forward & I hope they can assure me my ears are clear. I’m never putting anything in my ears again lol, it just leads to long term trouble. Do our minds play tricks on us in that we remember winters gave plenty of snow & Summers were hot& sunny every day, as that’s how I remember it. I do know that our winters now are overall a lot milder & wetter. They’re warning more snow coming next weekend & colder temperatures again.  The snow is so pretty to look at but not if you have to walk on it lol. I’m scared of falling now. Getting old ain’t fun at times. Xx

10 days  isn’t fun to feel so poorly is it? So many things going around this time of year. More bad weather supposed to be coming for next weekend, so we’ll see. We get a rough Winter every so often, but, when I was a kid, snow was guaranteed & it was much more than we get now. The country kept going, I remember sitting in my hat & coat in school because the heating was broken. Now, they close the schools. We get an inch of snow & it’s a disaster lol. Trains don’t run, roads closed, it’s crazy. You’re better equipped to cope & I bet most things just carry on as normal.
Trevor’s cough was the best it’s been last night so hopefully it’s leaving the building lol.  He has his retinal screenin this afternoon, the brought his appointment forward, which is good & my ENT appointment in March has come forward to next Wednesday, which I’m happy about. I have the dentist next week & mammogram at the end of the month. I know I have a tooth that has to come out. 2 root canal’s haven’t fixed it so I’ll be going back for that & my plate will be useless as it sits next to the dodgy tooth. This mean I’ll need a new plate. Honestly, I something’s think it would be easier to whip them all out. But I’m too young to be gummy yet lol. Carry on getting better Ginger ❤️❤️

Hi Ginger
We had a bad weekend of weather. Snow & ice on Saturday, temperatures sat at freezing all day. Then snow into Sunday but it had turned to rain when we were getting up. The snow was all washed away mid morning. It was a day to stay at home, the dog walks were very short lol.
They increased my statins, doubled the dose before Christmas, by Christmas I wasn’t feeling great & just got worse. I spoke to the in house pharmacist yesterday for my annual meds review. She’s put me back down to original dose, couldn’t understand the increase as my ready was just 2. I’m hoping to feel better by the end of the week. Just lethargic & woolly head.   Your cold has knocked you back hasn’t it. At least the weather isn’t nice & you have the perfect excuse for staying nice & warm indoors. Hope you soon get some energy back. Hubby has acquired a silly cough, ok during the day, but awful as soon as we got to bed. Both of us not getting de ent sleep. He’s taking some cough stuff but he might need something else. Definitely not on his chest so no antibiotics needed. These things hang around for weeks now.
Will be back here next week when I’ve grown some gold. Hopefully catch you next week, & we’re both back to ‘normal’. Take care Ginger ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Ginger. It's winter sales time, don't really need things and don't enjoy shopping so I just had a look around with a friend. Ended up getting a purple light coat for 10 euro. Love the color purple and it's a small size that suits me just right.
I see from the message below that you didn't feel well, hope you are better now and also weather has improved.
