Sandy sounds such a lovey kind lady, just the sort of friend you hope to have. My friend Sheila phoned when I got home this evening and asked if I was still taking her the upright vacuum cleaner. I told her it was already in the car for when I go out in the morning. She said that when she went to use hers today it wouldn't turn on, so now she'll have one until she decides to buy herself a new one. That's what I call good timing.

When I finish on here I must remember to send you the pic of my latest finished puzzle. I've started on the new one but still haven't found the missing edge piece. Never mind, if it's not here I'll mark the box with one missing piece and take it to the church hall, someone may like it.

Hi Janet, it felt a bit better today even though it only reached 45, at least we didn't get rain. I went over to see Sam after I'd picked up some more plant pots at uncle's house. She was busy making lasagne as she was entertaining some friends tonight who are having changes made to their kitchen and can't use it at the moment.
She was very pleased with the pots and says she needs some seed trays, so it looks like I'll be going back to uncle's to see if I can rescue them before they get put in a skip. She was out yesterday buying seeds for Henry's birthday in a couple of weeks. It's a strange thing to buy a child of 8 but he'll love them. He'd also made a birthday wish list...wait for it....it included, a keep net for all the fish he's going to catch, a swimming pool {OMG where does he get these ideas} , a life jacket for when he uses the kayak, a hot tub {Sam had better explain the cost of living} and a couple of other things I cant remember as I was laughing so much. The innocence of being 8 years old is lovely.

a water dragon,thank you !! xx I would try them,I shopped some shade covers for plants on Amazon. I had zinnias on the patio,loved the colors. It really wasn't the sun hurting them. I did not know the watering pattern for them and watered them leaves and all. I should have studied more on watering the base of them. Sunflowers are so gorgeous and friends for the birds. I think Sunflowers are pretty hardy. The teddy bear variety do not grow so tall and the flowers are huge! Too bad we aren't neighbors here in Ohio,we could garden together! Ron likes to see them,but he is not a gardener!! Enjoy your day  xx
