I expect I will make Crumbles with my blackberries. But I am waiting for the llocal apples. Bramley are best. Will miss my friend, Ann, who gave me all her apples. We never knew what tree it was. But they cooked down ok.
Looks like we are getting the heat wave. Do not like it too hot. Today is fine. The gardens are so dry and cracking up.

Hi, Von. I took Mary home after her appointment. She just wants to get home after her treatment .Its not Glucoma. But it is to do with fluid in her eyes. THis time there were no injections. But she has had those before. So you end up with running eyes and sore for a while. Thats why she just want to get home. But if it helps her sight. She will put up with it. This time it was no injections. .But photos of her eye. She had to wait a while for the results. Going back in 4 weeks.

Hi,Von. Had a lovely day on Wednesday at Knole House. It is Tudor. But known for its Deer who roam free. Not tame but they  are not bothered by people. !!We had lovely weather. Saw Mary on Thursday. Took her for her eye appointment. Was a long one. They took photos of her eye. Back in 4 weeks. No injection. Which was good.
June has not been too good. Not been for a couple of weeks as she is not interested in visitors. !! Been to hospital a couple of times. She has DVT. (Deep Vein Thrombosis) which they trying to treat. Must try and get over next week. Even if I am told to GO HOme !! Her usual greeting these days !!
Hope you are keeping well. See we are in for another mini heat wave. I lost my tomato plant. The heat got too much for it. But I have loads of blackberries in my freezer. Thanks to June's bushes !! Given a lot away as well. Be great when the cooking apples come in .Take care .Love and Hugs  xxx

Hi,Von. So pleased to see the back of that very hot weather. 2 days of over 30c were more than enough for me. !!
June was a lot better last week. I had given it a miss for a couple of weeks. Twice when I went she told me to "Go home" and just would not speak. Like that even when Lynne went. !!
Not sure if I can make it this week .
Taking Mary  next thursday for her eye injections. They are not nice and she finds them very painful. Wednesday we have Fellowships Summer outing. Going to Chiddingstone Castle. Been there before but a few years ago. Fingers crossed we have no rain.
Be thinking of you on Thursday. Never gets easier, Von. Hope Steph is getting on ok. ?

Hi,Von. It was lovely to hear from you. So pleased Paul's funeral  went well. They are never happy occasions. Even when there are happy events to be recalled. I hope Steph gets on o.k. It all takes time. As you, know, you never forget .

Oxford was lovely. We spent it going round on the open top bus. Did sit by the river to eat our lunch. Could not have asked for better weather. Sunny and warm. It was a long journey. Took 4 hours to get there. But well worth it.

Enjoyed the V.E.Day celebrations on t.v. Not impressed by last nights concert though !!
For Fellowship on Wednesday most of us dressed in Red, White and Blue. Had a buffet and a quiz. and a raffle with prizes wrapped in brown paper and string. !!
