Hi Evelyn, I’m all good now, glad your cold has gone too. I think my cold wasn’t a cold but symptoms due to the UTI as soon as the antibiotics kicked in my sore throat and cold disappeared. Our friends did stay with us after all and we had a good couple of days.
It’s a pain about your vase and I don’t understand eith why when you ditch a plant from the greenhouse the pot goes too? Why can’t they change it to you just take the plant out and put the pot in storage. I can understand why you are annoyed.
Im doing the advanced quest but I need a Jackdaw Chick and I’m having trouble attracting them as I haven’t got a Jackdaw nest! I had 2 lots of Dwarf gems but they only attracted Magpies so I’m waiting for a white gem to be RFH now. It’s such a palaver!
I went to the gym today, I’m trying to get back into it but it’s hard. I still keep thinking of better things do instead of going to the gym lol.
I’m meeting my sisters for a meal on Saturday, the months seem to come round so fast.
Have you any plans for the weekend?
Peter started a new job yesterday, an IT Consultant, he’s enjoying it so far but it means less time in the gym for him.

Yeah, I figured the whole preferences thing was a long shot but worth mentioning anyway. I play on my phone all the time now, it's easier that trying to manhandle the laptop but it does have it's issues! I think it's very possible you double tapped and didn't realise, especially if your mobile is as sensitive as mine is. It still absolutely sucks though and I'm still not ready to give them the benefit of the doubt over the whole not being able to recover it thing, especially not when you consider they've been able to restore entire gardens in the past. Still, they've said "no" and they're not likely to change their decision.

I think you did the right thing by suggesting they remove the Greenhouse option and make it the same as it is in the garden storage. Fingers crossed but I am sorry all your hard work and money went to waste.
Dad had a visit from a nurse from the Renal Team, she stayed for a good couple of hours discussing things with mum and dad. I have to say before anything else, I love my dad, I do but I was so angry at him. One of the potential options is home treatment but, as I'm sure you know, that will mean mum has to get training to administer it. She's 79 in May, she barely sleeps as it is, she knees a double knee replacement but refuses because it would mean we'd have to look after ourselves whilst she heals. And dad didn't even ask her, didn't ask if she would mind, just told the nurse he wanted the home treatment.

And, f*ck I get it, of course I bloody do. But he should have discussed it first. Home treatment would mean he has dialysis overnight, every night. It will mean a huge change as we have to find room to store all the boxes (apparently they are HUGE) each month. The dogs won't be allowed in his room anymore. Only now, after this Bicarbonate issue, they are hinting it might not be possible! I don't know if he'll agree to it otherwise. He was told 4 times a week, 4 hours at a time but that doesn't take into account travelling there and back on those 4 days. He is utterly exhausted after going to the local hospital 6 miles away, how is he supposed to manage a journey of 26 miles? I just don't know anymore Evelyn. I can honestly see him just saying "no".

He's actually got another UTI and is waiting for the District Nurses to come in the next couple of days to change his catheter. He's not a well man, he really isn't.
I've just had triplets in my garden! Forest Leafwing Butterflies, my first ever triplets, for anything 💚 I had to spot them myself, I even posted in the Wildlife Guide but no-one came and I wasn't letting any of them be missed 😉
I had a look at a set of instructions I found on Freedom Fairies United and it gives the spotting requirements for every butterfly as just one, I've spotted at least that for them all. The attracting requirements start at 21 and reduce by 3. I've currently attracted 8/12 for the FLB. I decided at the beginning that as it takes 4 days for the Butterpilaflora to go RFH I'm going to try and attract all the butterflies I need for that colour before I move on.

So I only need to have 3 FLBs spotted to move on to Blue (with the other requirements obviously) but I want all 12 so they're out of the way. I'm not sure how easy that will be as the time needed to attract the butterflies continues to increase (it started off at 2 hours, it's 4 hours for Green and Blue, and the last 3 take 6 hours) but half the fun is trying (or so they tell me 😂😂). Hi Evelyn! Oh no! I'm so sorry, I know how long you were working on the Chick Vases! I don't think I saw anyone who was doing them that didn't have a complaint about how ridiculously difficult they were and how much gold they were spending. I know it's no help whatsoever now but have you checked to make sure you have the toggle on that stops you dumping anything without it checks that's what you want to do? I do think it's poor that Support won't help - but I'm not surprised to be honest. 😂 I'm already repeating one of the Caterpillar challenges in Level V. I am so far behind with them as I never took an interest until now! I'm very proud of my two coloured in sections 😂 It'll probably take me from now until eternity to get anywhere but hey-ho I'm off and running 😂

It's been a grotty day here today, it never seemed to get properly light. We went from misty, dull and raining, to dull and raining to dark - but at least the wind has finally dropped so it feels a bit warmer. I hope you manage to avoid the snow again tomorrow! It's absolutely disgusting when you think it about, I'm not saying that the lady didn't work hard during her time at Tesco but can you really compare that to 38 years in the NHS? To receive almost double the amount you did beggars belief. No. Let me amend that, it SHOULD beggar belief sadly it doesn't! The job situation here, like many places, isn't good. So many of the businesses are moving out (as with Whistl where Luke was working) or closing down, I will definitely mention it to Luke -

especially the mechanic part - but at the moment I think it's a case of 'I have a job, I'm holding on to it' kind of thing. Thank you though, I really appreciate it. A quick update, dad's not doing well. He's in final stage kidney failure, they're at 14%. He's been told when the function drops to 10% he has to on dialysis. He also has too much Bicarbonate in his system which means another tablet. He was told to follow a "low potassium diet" but then left to got on with it with the "help" - HAH!! - of an NHS leaflet, it's worse than useless. Everytime we try to Google something it gives an answer with the proviso "speak to your specialist Dietician/Nutritionist for exact information taking into account your personal circumstances and needs. What a fecking joke!
