3. I am enjoying the festive mice and I quite like the toadstool lights. I'm going to do the easy quest once for December and that will be it. You're probably better leaving the rest of your chicks, as well as the endangered until the New Year as I would imagine a lot of gardens will be doing the winter wildlife & decorating a tree to get their gift of free SF for a week. 2. Aqua Aerobics had a festive lunch today at 1pm but I didn't go as it was right after the class and going for a meal with wet hair just doesn't appeal to me. I'd prefer time to get home, dry my hair & put some make up on before going out. I think it will just be the 2 of us on Christmas Day. We are having Lynne & Ben on Christmas Eve. We haven't invited Alan & Laura yet - long story - but I feel we should. Colin is not so sure. Long & short of it is we never see or hear from them now unless they need something Alan & Lynne have not been speaking to each other properly for a couple of years. Alan isn't speaking to his Mum either but Lynne was asked to look after the girls for a day during the October holidays but Alan wasn't able (read that as didn't want to) drive them over to Lynnes - 20 minutes away - Lynne had to bundle up Thomas & get him in the car and go & collect the girls. 2 minutes before 9am Laura phoned asking where she was - Alan (self employed doing gardens) had phoned Laura at her work (she's a Detective Sergeant in CID now) to ask where Lynne (his sister) was. Hi Linda, and Happy Birthday. Hope you've had a nice day. That's a shame about Grahams cousin. It's no fun getting older - and hard work when you have to care for those getting older! Years ago there used to be sheltered housing for older folk with a warden living on site that popped in & out as needed. Glad you are enjoying your stints in school & getting paid for doing it is a great bonus. I'm getting on slowly with my Christmas shopping & really just have Colin & his Mum to get now apart from a few vouchers and little bits & bobs. I've even started wrapping up presents & my cards are on the dining room table waiting to get written. We had our line dance Christmas meal last night in a restaurant that's newly opened. A friend took me there for lunch for my birthday. She asked for steak pie & potatoes to be told there was no potatoes in the kitchen that day! And she had booked a table for 1pm. It's not like we arrived unexpectedly near the end of service. So I wasn't sure what to expect last night but it was very nice although there was no cranberry sauce for the roast turkey dinners & we couldn't get tea or coffee at 8.30pm as they had switched the coffee machine off. Lol :-D  And

2. Sleeping Beauty has got very expensive, even taking into consideration my n20% discount for being a Platinum member. Peppermint Salon, my local salon in Dingwall is a lot cheaper & you get longer for your treatments but it's very difficult to get an appointment as there are just 2 girls. I am still trying to do Christmas shopping although I am gifting a few vouchers this year. I haven't even thought about cards yet but I do less now than I used to as stamps are so expensive. When will Charlie be home for the Christmas break? I hope he's still enjoying his course. We are having Lynne, Ben & Thomas on Christmas Eve for a meal...not sure yet whether we will ask Alan, Laura & the girls as well. He is a bit "off" with his Dad just now. He has already fallen out with his Mum, hasn't spoken to her for a few years although he will go to her house if invited for a meal but doesn't speak to her (how strange!) & distanced himself from his sister so I don't know how pleasurable it would be having all of them round the same table at the same time. But I think I would feel guilty if I didn't ask them as well. I am going to spend half an hour online looking for a Christmas present for a friend

Hello, glad you're enjoying the new job, especially now you're getting paid for it. The chick vases take ages. The endangered vases are much quicker & easier. At least the gardens are set up for a certain endangered so you know what you're watering for, unlike the birdbaths. I don't know if I'll do any more lights this year either. I would like some new clothes for the Santas & Snowmen instead of more lights or more pots. I haven't caught up with Strictly yet or the new Masterchef. I just don't seem to find the time & also Colin has the TV volume up loud so sometimes, when I'm here on my own I just want peace & quiet. This afternoon I had a facial, a voucher I got for my birthday from Gavin & Lisa. It was a lady doing it from a room in her home & the skin care products were Korean. It was very relaxing & I treated myself to an exfoliating face wash. I have a back, neck & shoulder massage booked for Monday 8th & I might try & book in for a gel polish manicure at some point before Christmas. Do you ever go & get your nails done nowadays? x

Oh geez, sorry. I had the vase out but then the sloth came so I took it out & put the thornblooms in. I’ll put the vase back in when there is an alert. Then I’ll have to take one of the thornblooms out. So complicated 🤪
