😅 I’m 78 too. I only do sewing by hand, me and sewing machines don’t get on well at all!! I do a lot of craft work while I’m resting- I can’t just lie there and do  nothing.  I took a long break from Fairyland when I went back to volunteer work and then full time nursing my husband when he had colorectal cancer. He was given 5 years after the major op and he’s now in his 12th year of borrowed time.
There are so many changes in Fairyland, I just plug along doing what I want. No pressure. I find players very friendly and helpful😊

Ahh now I know. One of the more affluent areas on the Gold Coast. Beautiful if that’s your cup of tea. Your sisters should have a wonderful time. Winter is the best time to visit Queensland. Usually sunny but cooler.
When I was teaching we scheduled our camps for winter, less chance of wet weather.
We live out in the bush West of Hervey Bay, another popular hub for people who like the water.
We don’t travel any more - it’s hard enough just driving the hour to do supermarket shopping.
Both my daughters lived on the Gold Coast for a while. Those visits were enough for me! We like the quiet country life 😅
