HI Diane, you're very welcome. I buy gold now and again especially when there is the extra stardust offer. I did have some years when I didn't have cats, 1976 - 1994, all different reasons, living with my stepfather, then I was homeless and then I lived in accommodation where I was not allowed to have cats or dogs, so I got budgies and hamsters. I needed to have pets again. When I moved to my present home (31 years ago) I adopted a cat named Mandy, then came Charlie followed by Ocean and Guinness. Charlie outlived them and he was joined by Ebony and Treacle. Charlie passed four years later and then Hala came along. Now I just have Treacle and Ebony, maybe I'll get another cat, just not ready at the moment xx

I tripped over a paving stone that was sticking up. I suppose I should have complained to the council as I lost pay for the days I couldn't work. Your husband had been through a lot, so sad that he had gone through those illnesses and then to trip. Sophie sounds like Ebony, she and Treacle are from the same litter but she isn't keen on Treacle and wasn't keen on Hala. I feel sorry for Treacle as she got on well with Hala and Hala use to wash Treacle. I think Ebony would have preferred to be an only cat too. My mum and dad got a ginger cat just before I was born and his name was Sandy. Sadly he died when I was about 7. the council had put rat poison down and somehow Sandy had ingested it. I would like to have a ginger cat again, I'll have to see how things go xx

Hi Diane, sorry to hear of your falls too. Ouch, bruised ribs very painful. Apart from my lip I hurt my knees so not too bad. I can't retire until I'm 67. I just hope I can keep upright lol. Thank you Diane, Hala was a funny cat. Although she was the youngest, she was bigger than my other 2 cats. I think it may have something to do with her being half ragdoll. My other 2 cats, Ebony and Treacle are 14 now so I was definitely not expecting Hala to go first. I'm not sure at the moment whether I'll get more cats or not. I do know that I have to have a pet in my life. Are Sophie and Louis from the same litter? You're very welcome Diane. Oh Diane, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I can understand you not looking forward to Christmas. How are you? Sending hugs. I tripped up in September whilst going to a call. I saw the pavement coming towards my face and couldn't stop myself. I got on my knees and noticed blood dripping, I thought it was my nose but it was my lip. I will be 65 next April so will be able to have the shingles vaccination then. I do miss Hala. My other 2 cats are 14 so thought she would outlive them xx

Hi Diane, I'm not too bad thanks. I had shingles during the summer and even though I am better I still have nerve problems in my head. The shingles also affected my eye as it caused an ulcer and I'm still having problems with that eye. Also at the same time I had to have my cat Hala put to sleep. She had a heart problem and there wasn't anything the vet could do. Didn't want to let her suffer so let her go. It was such a shock, she was my youngest cat, 8 years old, nearly 9. So I didn't have a very good summer. Hope you are well xx
