Hello Susan, I’m so glad your visit went smoothly. I’ve been thinking about you and wondering how things were going. I think you are right, probably everything will remain in the past and you can move on. I’m glad Sadye adjusted well also. That was nice of them to take you out for Ed’s birthday dinner. Happy birthday to Ed!! Matthew is bringing Alina today at 5:30 to celebrate her birthday. I’m not sure if he’s bring a cake or cookies or what because she has food aversions and won’t eat any of that. The cake will be for the rest of us and she will be happy with her goldfish crackers. She goes between goldfish crackers and cheezits. It got up to 68 degrees yesterday and today is going to mid 50’s. Most of the snow is gone now!! I’m very anxious about Piper. I hope she does well with no issues. We have to drop her off for 8 and then they will call be throughout the day with updates. If she’s doing well we can pick her up in the evening. I hope you're not getting sick, but you sure were burning the candle at both ends for about a week.  Sure don't want Ed to be sick on his birthday!  Isn't his actual birthday the 9th? Now don't get excited,  but I dud go down on my trek to the pig today. The top if the snow has a crust on it, then mushy snow underneath. Front of the house wasn't bad, maybe mid-calf, but as soon as I made the turn to the pig my left leg sunk up to my knee. I managed to pull that leg up, then took a step with my right and sunk again, then my left went down. I could not extract myself, but git to my knees and crawled to the pig, and then was able to stand. Lol....quite the workout.  Pig read 30%, so no delivery. I'm fine just a little sore. I sure hope this snow melts with the warm up and rain! Heading out to join you in Dreamland.  Sending my Bestie lots of love, hugs and kisses

Good afternoon, Susan. I’m hoping that your visit with Ed’s daughter is going well. His ex sounds like a real treat…😬😩
We are in for some very nice weather over the next week. Saturday is going into the mid 60’s and Sunday mid 50’s then all next week mid 60’s again!! Pipers bloodwork came back ok so she’s all set for her surgery on Monday. She still has 3 baby canine teeth holding on strong that I’ve asked to have pulled while she is under anesthesia. The adult ones are in place with the baby teeth. They said it was no problem and best to do while she’s out rather than coming back in at a later date and having to be put under again. Penny had one that she lost when she was a year and a half. I was thinking that I was going to have to call the vet to have it pulled and then I noticed it was gone!! How is Sadye taking to your guests? I hope all is well and you are enjoying your time. Sending love and hugs 💜

Good morning, Susan. Layne has always gotten car sick but it has gotten worse since she fell to the point she actually throws up. She used the glasses the first day she got them and they worked. She hasn’t needed them since because they haven’t gone anywhere other than school and back. They only live a few blocks from the school. Other than the car sickness she back to normal. I will be thinking of you this afternoon as your step daughter and her husband arrive. I’m really hoping it’s a nice stress free visit. That’s such a shame that they have been influenced in a negative way by their mother regarding their father. Makes me sad for Ed. I would be just like you, you are very protective of him as I would be over Larry. My parents divorced when I was very young. They did not get along but my mother never ever said one bad thing about my father to me or in my earshot. As I got older it was clear to me how she felt but not by the way she talked about him. She once told me that he was my father and she would never disrespect that. She said she was grateful for him because she had me. That being said, I’m sure she had not so nice things to say about him to others but never me. Sending l

Susan, Layne has a new pair of glasses to wear while in the car. They are supposed to to help with motion sickness. They have water in the frame thst is supposed to minimize motion while riding in the car. She has been getting car sick every time they go somewhere, even a very short trip. She has been throwing up. She has always gotten car sick but never to this extent since her fall. I suggested looking into a chiropractor for her and maybe see about getting the Epley maneuver preformed. I’m sorry to hear about Ed’s daughter. That is such a hard situation I’m sure. I’m hoping that everything goes well and you all have a nice visit. When is she arriving? Good morning, Susan. I’m so glad to hear Scottie has come home. I will continue my prayers as she goes through therapy and gains strength. Hopefully she will be feeling much better soon!! Layne is doing great. Her eye looks so much better!! All the black and purple has faded to a touch of green and yellow. You might not even notice if you don’t look to hard. I can’t believe Alina is 7 already. We didn’t get to see her because it wasn’t Matthew’s weekend. We will celebrate her next weekend. Liam’s birthday is later this month on the 18th. I’ll bet you and Ed are looking forward to your visit with his daughter. There’s always so much prep when someone is visiting, you want to make dure everything is in order. Woke up to 9° this morning. The sun is shining though so hopefully it will warm up quickly.Next week at this time we will be bringing Piper for her surgery. We were at Walmart yesterday and I forgot to grab a couple of onsies for her recovery. I used them for Penny and they were great. Much better than the cone. We are having venison stew for dinner. Although it's closer to early morning Sprinkles....I fell asleep again. Happy to hear that the Rx is making Sis more comfortable,  continuing with prayers til she's back to her sassy self. You have been a busy bee! Hope you were able to get some rest. Yes, I did make it out to the pig, though it was quite the trip. A drift in front of the front door made it difficult to open, but I managed to squeeze out, sideways. First foot out the door sink down to ABOVE  my knee, luckily I  had both the snow shovel and my walking stick and managed to stay upright. Once past that drift it wasn't too bad. Best news is the pig read 40& !!!
So.dont have to worry about a delivery order. When I got back to the front door, I managed to work thatbshovel.on the drift so the door opens again. Sounds like Scottie is making her way back, though she lost quite a bit of ground,  it will take some time. Still praying for her too. Heading back to Dreamland now,.need a few more Zzzzzz's. Good morning, Susan. I’m glad that Scottie is out of ICU. I will continue praying for her and hope she gets out of the hospital soon. I can’t even imagine, I feel so bad for her parents. It’s a very scary situation. I’m sorry to hear Sadye isn’t feeling well. Where does Ed’s daughter and son-in-law live? I hope you all have a nice visit. Do you have anything special planned for their time with you? It’s cold again today. Woke up to 13° with the windchill of zero. Not as cold as you thought🥶🥶🥶. It is currently snowing, but it’s not really sticking. We are supposed to get more overnight and into tomorrow. This winter is the never-ending one.
