Oh Susan,I’m so sorry to hear about Sayde. It is absolutely not your fault so please don’t feel that way. You were trying to protect her and keep her safe…which you did. I fear to think of what could’ve happened if you weren’t near enough to scoop her up. We have a leash law in our village. There is one particular guy who has 2 large dogs and he walks them off leash and I get so mad. As you know, we live on a corner with a very narrow back yard. When I take Penny out we start at the front but she gravitates towards the side that is next to the sidewalk and street. There have been times I’ve had Penny out and I’ve seen him coming from up the street so I take her down the back and to the other side yard. I just wonder what goes through peoples heads thinking that they don’t need to follow the law.  Today the girls are getting along better than yesterday and the day before. Tiny baby steps!! I’ve been so busy with Piper that I haven’t been watering much… mostly just putting new food out. It has been very cold, rainy, and windy here for about a week. We actually had hail this morning. I will say lots of extra prayers for Sayde…I hope her back heals quickly and she is feeling herself again soon. Sending lots of love, hugs and prayers your way.🙏🏻💜

Lol...I had to get up and unplug the heater in my bedroom last night, as I was too warm! Makes a difference being in a smaller room with the door closed. The livingroom is harder to heat because of all of the windows, but Mike's heater is doing the job.  We had a really nice evening and I did talk to him about laying down the law to John and he said,  he thought J was just talking and he's going to wait til the beginning of the year to remind him that he needs to start paying the money back. So, I said my piece and will remain mum on that subject. Anyway, I know he hurt his Dad's feelings by his lack of caring over the weekend. It's payday for me, so have bills to pay and might be able to do a few more things on the porch to get it winter ready. Will have leftovers for supper. Don't know if I told you that James blocked Laura & me, so haven't been seeing his posts. Keep an eye on him for me. Yes, he moved out and Amanda sent me a pic of her and Trish last night enjoying the peace of not having him there.

I think you got distracted and didn't get back to me with a message. I know Sunday's are hectic with getting Ed ready for his work week ahead. Warmer today.
Mike brought a radiant heat heater over last night. But you have to sit right in front of it to feel any warmth! So bringing one tonight that blows hot air with a fan. The nig reveal.from last night was that John told him he's looking for online work so he can move back to Mackinaw. I'm so angry.i could spit and I know Mike is fit to be tied. Mike has a hard tome verbalizing his feelings, but I'm going to encourage him tonight to write out a text to send to John warning him that he's on his own if he chooses to do that.  What a pitiful excuse for a man...frigging 46 years old! Arrrgh. And to boot, after all that Mike has done for him, he barely spent any time with his Dad. Mike had to seek him out and go visit him at his house, while John was more interested in a movie he was watching. Mike kept checking hus phone last night hoping for a text. Nothing.  He was driving back to Traverse City at 6am thus morning. Probably left without a word. Making something with chicken for tonight....maybe a curry. Hope all is well on your end. Hello Susan. It is cold, raining and very windy. I think it’s going to be a quick night of trick or treating for the kids. Although they will probably protest. Their Halloween parade at school today was canceled and moved indoors where they don’t allow spectators. Last year Halloween was beautiful and this year it’s yucky. You just never know. So far today has been a good day with Penny and Piper. Penny is still very jealous but she is doing much better and they do play a lot and that makes me happy. Piper has been sleeping every night since we set up the pen. I’m grateful for that and worried that I will jinx myself when I mention it. This is the first year that we aren’t handing out candy. We thought it would be a lot with a new puppy and Penny barking every time the door bell rings. I hope you are having a great day. Happy Halloween 🎃

Yes, John has a 11 year old daughter, Stella. She stays with her mother in Cheboygan,  but spent every other weekend with her Dad & they're very close. I have never met her and Mike hasn't seen her in quite awhile.

Apologies for falling asleep again. I think I get so warm under my down comforter and heating pad that it knocks me out! So finally got some answers from Alexander's  (boiler people) the supply company says they never received the order. So now the order has been placed and "expedited". Unbelievable!  The gal apologized profusely,  but gee....what an ordeal. Mike is bringing me another electric heater tonight, as the weekend is supposed to be cold and rainy. I may have to stay with him a few days.  Really not keen on it, as I'm like Sis....always wanting to get back home. Also,  it's hard to bring the heat level back up after being gone....I learned that last Sunday.

Part ll.....also, I'm hoping that the guys can spend some quality time together, but it's a short visit.and John will also have Stella (his daughter) staying with him.ike said Damon seemed drugged during the visit. But, he's being discharged tomorrow. What really is wearing on Mike is his sister, Jenni. Wow, she is so needy. Always asking Mike to help her with stuff and then has meltdowns and cries. Also, her soon to be ex.is calling Mike and crying.  This is really wearing on him. Mike has suggested she sees a therapist,.but she poo-poos the idea. So, not sure what will happen over the next few days. I may just try and make the best if here rather than going over to Pond and getting in the middle of all that drama! I'll keep you abreast! Hello Susan, things are so much better. Piper is happy and content in her pen at night. She has her crate, bed, a few toys, water and her pee pad in there and she’s sleeping all night. She goes to bed when we do and gets up when we do. She’s using the pee pads successfully both during the day and at night. She’s eating well and her and Penny are doing a lot of playing. Penny seems to be warming up to her. Today was a good day. We are supposed to have rain and strong winds on Halloween. The kids have a Halloween parade if weather permits. They have a half day that day too, not sure why. Last year on Halloween it was 81 degrees. How are you doing? Do you you have any plans for the weekend? How is Sayde doing? Sending love and hugs 💜

Monday Sprinkle for our Sweeties
Yum! I love those rolls! I'll have to think up something to have them with later in the week. That recipe also awesome a fine bread. I didn't put in a pan, just fashioned it like a loaf of French bread and baked on a cookie sheet. Well some of the excitement over the weekend was Mike making the mistake of telling Andy what's going on with Damon.
Then. "Mr. Fix It", says to send Damon down to him and he'll make a man out of him and get him into the Space program. Mike kept quietly trying to explain that Damon is where he needs to be right now and that any decisions being made are between John, Stacy & Damon.  Mike had to be firm in telling Andy to leave it alone and also not to call John!
John will be coming home thus Thurs thru Monday  and was planned before all this drama. Mike fears exactly what you stated....sure hope that doesn't happen. Then, before I left yesterday, a text came in from Stacy telling Mike that Damon wants to check himself out. So, I don't think he went any further than texting her back. That he hopes Damon stays and gets treatment. So who knows what's next? I know Mike is hoping to get an appointment for the Shoosh
