Good morning! We're not yet scorching hot and the temperature inside is down to 22°. Things cooled down a lot after the storm yesterday although for the whole day it was warmer inside than out. Our house is ancient and the metre thick granite walls are good for keeping heat out, up to a point, but after several days they warm up around us and work as a giant radiator and there's no way of cooling down at that point.

This morning there was a baby sparrow huddled on the ground outside the front door. It must have been there all night. I got the steps out and posted it back into the nest, and was enormously relieved a couple of hours later to see the parents were looking after it 🙂

Hi Sam, today it was much better cooler due to the strong winds , still warm of course . There should be here a ban on hose pipes but havent heard anything just yet.
Hubby is a keen fan of sport so has watched all manner of matches, especially football. l get the run down from him. l am not interested at all but listen to him give me the results , then l forget  about them lol. . l hear him cheer or cuss at the tv, so l know how its going lol. .
Off out into the garden shortly l have to deadhead my Hydrangea , this weather has been so cruel to it .

We've sweltered all day. Again. But there's a forecast of storms and some rain in the night and it's gone very windy, so there's definitely something changing!
My chameleon plants are now showing 2 months and 4 weeks old ( three of them anyway) so waiting to see when they'll change. Anxious to see a RFH plant!

Good morning! It's not quite broiling yet but the sun is climbing in the sky so I must run about closing all the doors and windows. Yesterday's high was 42°... I really wish it would stop now 🥵

Horrifying to hear what your MIL did! Get her a window cleaner double quick! I don't need to hide the ladder here. Husband won't go up it... Hello literally won't stand on a chair to change a lightbulb 🤣

Obviously too hot to move yesterday but there was Rugby all day so I watched until the end. I did try watching the football afterwards but it doesn't have the same appeal as Rugby especially not after an 11 marathon so I gave up after 4 minutes...

Hi Sa, oh for sure he is always ready to watch any sport but especially the World Cup rounds.

i am sat indoors all windows and most foor are open, there is some breeze l pull blinds and drapes so all l get is fanned when the wind blows lol. . Aw Hun there is always room for more plants lol. , well l seem to find them. i am lucky to be honest though . l have one of the bigger gardens at the back of the house and a medium sized one at the front. l still grow a couple indoors , l have cut down in the house aby loads because l now am the main carer of all plants of both gardens. Google is a great help for tips and l have a few pop up garden tip pages on face book. Of course you are and quite rightly so. l get upset if l lose any which of course happens even if there is no fault of my own.
Thanks Hun you too, its going to be a long two weeks of this hot weather here. So l will be doing as little as possible in those hot hours. Take care and enjoy your garden . Lots of love xx
