I've taken a couple of breaks from FL, the longest I think was more than two years, it just seems to fly by without you realising it. So I can well imagine how surprised you were when you 'dusted off' your Back Wall. Unfortunately, part of my OCD is having an obsessive personality and FL is very easy for me to become obsessed with. (I haven't gone to bed before 3am for months!). When it got too out of control, that's when I pulled the plug. I'm managing things at the moment, even though I'm sprinkling at stupid o'clock! Yup. My boy is nearly 6' tall and built like the proverbial brick sh*thouse - unfortunately for him, he has inherited my build! (Belated) Congratulations on the safe arrival of Aurora, what an absolutely beautiful name 🩷 You have the kindest soul, thank you for saying that, wouldn't a magic wand be wonderful?

Trust me, I completely understand as I'm going through the Menopause too. I was doing okay because I weighed up my options and decided to go with HRT patches. Unfortunately, when 'the thing' happened on Christmas Day night 2019 and I spent all those weeks in hospital, they discharged me with undiagnosed blood clots! These became Pulmonary Emboli on both my lungs so my doctors won't allow me HRT now, the risks are too high and so here we are! Sweating buckets day and night and suffering with horrendous menopause brain - that's worse than the flushes, I hate it. And I hate to tell you this but I'm 55 and the symptoms are still going strong. You have my sympathy lovelie, completely. It's great that you've received a definitive diagnosis for ADHD.

It seems to be happening with adults more and more (you're my fourth friend to get a diagnosis) and everyone says the same thing "well that explains a lot!" And something else, they're all women around a similar age! You're 50, my friends Debbie and Amanda are 55 and Penny is 58! It might not mean anything more than it's the age-grouping of my friends but I thought it was... interesting! I won't do the Pottery Lottery because, like the gold vases and nearly every challenge Mike has introduced recently, I see them as a money grab! You've already experienced what it's like when you were trying for that Giant Panda! The watering can be brutal and the amount of gold spent is mad! If we 'pay to play' but aren't allowed reasonable rules in our own gardens, I won't participate.

Have you looked in Marketplace? There are loads of vases from the Pottery Lottery for sale there at varying prices. If you scroll to the bottom there are usually a number for sale for 9999. Just out of interest, I sat down and worked it out, in real money that's over £300! £300 for an electronic facsimile of a vase in an online game! I wonder how many people would pay that in the real world? Lots of my very good friends do the lottery and the vases and although they moan about how difficult it can be spotting certain critters, they all enjoy it so go for it and have fun!! Right, I think that's about enough for War and Peace now. I've bitched and moaned (I'm not really as miserable as I sound 😂😂😂) and now I'm off to watch wrestling - yes, yes, I still watch it 😂 Nighty, night lovely xx

Unfortunately when they introduced the new edict of "anyone can water at anytime" in a Public Garden and you're not allowed to post anything that can be interpreted as a 'rule' things changed in FL, and not for the better in my opinion! The claim was that it was to make the game 'fairer' but I maintain my argument, "fairer to whom?" Say, for example, I need one more Topiary Rainbow Unicorn to finish the Tops Challenge and earn my Greenhouse. One garden offers to set up for me to spot that Unicorn. I water every 2/3 minutes for 45 minutes with no-one else in the garden. BUT. The garden owner isn't allowed to place any messages asking any potential visitors not to sprinkle and when someone comes in at the last second, they don't need the Uni for anything but they water and spot the critter, that's it.

How is that fair to me? I have spent a shedload of gold that I paid for and missed out. How. Is. That. Fair? There are people who genuinely do it accidentally and you know because they'll apologise immediately and, oftentimes, will dust you with a few gold to make up in part for what you spent. There are more though who just couldn't care less. We've lost so many players from early on because they just can't be doing with the aggressive play. You think going for a Giant Panda is bad, you wait until you're in a garden that's hosting critters for one of the vases, that's inSANE. I needed Roadrunners for one of my Dinosaurs and so did those doing vases. Gardens were being watered every second, every single second! Some of the plates weren't due for 30 minutes or more but they were watering like crazy people.
