a quiet evening splash and wishing you a restful good night, Kimalisa! is Bessie ok after getting a bite of chocolate cookie? sending her soothing ear rubs. Dresden is already curled up in his bed, and sends sleepy snuggles to you, and to Bessie. he does not go down to the basement with me. if he did get down there I would be a bit apprehensive about getting him back up here. the last time there was a warning was several years ago (before the young people moved in), and that was a single time. last week there were 4 separate warnings where we had to go in the basement. I have some folding chairs stored down there, and they have a bench and some lawn chairs stored so we used those. (it's a basic basement. we have our washers and dryers down there, and then of course the furnaces and water heaters. lots of room for storing extra rarely used stuff.) this new week looks a lot better weather-wise. today was quiet (and cooler outside; in the 40s!). I did a load of laundry, went to the food co-op, and yes, read. I'm reading another Ann Cleeves novel.
