Hi Kim, l hope your journey home was good. Yes l used to love train rides when l was a kid too. My dad worked in the goods yard on the railways , so we had free travel sometimes. Of course l used the train as an adult too but you lose the "magic" of a train ride with dad. I have never been to Birmingham on the train so cant say about the train station there. I do know the Airport was not pleasant or friendly when we had to land there once. Have a good day love xx
