It's that time of year when we remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. A time I remember my dear friend's son L/Cpl Peter Eustace who was killed in Afghanistan 16/11/11 At the going down of the sun, and in the morning we will remember them .

Continuing to pray  for all areas where there is conflict, injustice, hatred, pain. Praying for there to be peace, tolerance, hope, and unity

Pleased to hear you have hot water again, that must have been ghastly for you both.
Sounds  like you had a nice walk. We rarely ever see kingfishers here, but we do see a lot of herons. I've gone off them since I had made friends with a little chippy who used to come up on my hand and then a heron swooped down and got him and gobbled him up! Nasty  thing.
I hate this getting old lark. I think I can get a lot done but then I just can't do it somehow and the aches and pains boy don't get me started.
