Hi June glad you are better yes normal life for a few weeks we have a motorhome so once the better weather comes we try to go away once a month for 4/5 days mid week Scarborough is our 1 st in April then we are in Llandudno for 4/5 days in may I know you said Dave loves it there we love going as well it’s a lovely area our favourite place is Northumberland we go there 3/4 times a year sometimes in a premier inn so we can have a more relaxing time we are making the most of our retirement it’s lovely in the motorhome Barbie’s and the freedom of the outside but nice to have meals cooked for us and home comforts now and again we stopped going abroad when Covid came Ken suffers from copd he manages with his meds but going on planes is not that good for him with the air con he picks infections up very easy from it we have discovered some lovely places in the uk with the motorhome especially in Scotland so many hidden places to visit we always stay on sites where they is all we need but lots of places to explore near them xx

Glad you feeling better will probably freeze the garden during the day will have a couple of hours on a evening if we get back to the hotel early we are back on Thursday we are going to Lancaster for 3 days hopefully a day in the lakes and a couple of sea side visits one of the residents at the home is from Lancaster she has told us all about it so we decided to have a couple of days in the area my mum and dad had a hotel in Blackpool they lived there when retired until my dad passed away then mum moved back to Guiseley it will be good to go see all the places we used to see both my daughters spent most of there Holidays in Blackpool while they were growing up it had some lovely memories xx

Hi June - i dont know if in UK you can get codeine via Drs or chemist - but that is a cough suppressant and helps with pains aches too that may help you..bfn x 

Hi June yes it’s difficult when parents are elderly we had to make the decision to put mum in care just over a year since she was failing with her mobility and her loosing her sight  does not help I did get a part time carer for her before but as her health failed I had to make the decision mum agreed but it was not a good time we had to sell her beloved bungalow that she bought when my dad passed away it has not been a good 12 month but mum has settled now the best she can she misses her home but we were fortunate that the home that mum and dad had worked so hard for would pay for her care its very expensive at all the homes she is at weavers court in Yeadon it’s beautiful but not her home the staff are lovely and we are fortunate that she got a garden room with a door that opens to the outside so she can sit in the garden in good weather and have her room nearby I know she is safe there and getting good food and looked after she will be 94 next month we visit her most days and take her out once a week when it’s possible  I hope you are both feeling better now and the bugs are going away take care both of you xx

I do hate that with pets, it is one of the worst things about having them, they die! I still have all of mine in my heart, they come a walk with me, etc. I'm still broken after my last one died, they are all so special , hugs to you all
