a quiet evening splash and wishing you a restful good night, Marguerite! a grey squirrel spotted; thanks! the squirrels here have been feasting on the pumpkins on the back porch, and the one I have set on my little outdoor table. yes, it's cool enough now that we have to think about bundling up. I didn't today while running errands, but I did have a flannel shirt on. came home, was reading, and fell asleep. then I was awakened by my phone ringing. it was a call from an old friend who moved to one of the Carolinas a few years back. (I always forget which one is her home.) we had a lovely chat, and hopefully my nap was short enough I can sleep tonight. Dresden is happy as he just finished his dinner. he sends snuggles to you, and to Pippin while I send lots and lots of ear rubs to Pippin. take care, and keep warm! hugs! xxx

Good Evening Marguerite, All I've done today is doing a few chores. We a have a communal bin store for 43 apartments. This is a gated community. The refuse men should come twice a week. Well they haven't come. No reason given. The building manager has said nothing. My apartment smells of refuse, as the bin store has been blocked off with tape. I'm fuming!!! So, I'll be ringing the council tomorrow. It is a health hazard. The only thing I have gleaned from another resident, is they've changed the removals for waste and re-cycling to a Friday. But that's come and gone! I can't/shan't wait 'til Friday. I pay for everything here. No benefits, so I expect to have my refuse collected.  Thank you for letting me vent.
