Alan came and sorted the cover over the boiler pipes, it needed a little bit removed from one end so it would fit. That's another job done and he brought the books up from the shed. I did go through them and pulled out some for the nuns but there's still a lot to go to the Samaritans charity. On my way home from Andrew's I stopped by their new shop but it's still not open so now I have 2 boxes of books and 'things' plus a small coffee table waiting to go to them.

This afternoon I was getting in to the puzzle when my aunt arrived. She's so much better and had decided to have a walk with her friend Marilyn and bring me a birthday card. Her only concession is she's using a walking stick, but I could tell she hates it. Marilyn is a bit of a worrier and was terrified auntie would fall. I thought she was looking more stable than when I last saw her and it was lovely to see her out and about. She said she'd been taking herself for a little walk each day for the last 2 weeks, good for her.

Hi Janet, I went to see Andrew but his garage was closed, I remembered him saying something to me about having longer weekends so I guess he now closes on a Monday. I'll try again tomorrow but I'm so nervous of switching off the engine in case I can't start it again. I do have car rescue but it does mean I can't just go and see Mark about the computer which is using American spelling or go and do an odd bit of shopping or I could be parked there forever! Well maybe not forever but it would be a nuisance. I promised Gwen I'd pick her up on my birthday when we go out for lunch and Thursday I need to get to the restaurant to meet Sam and Tessa and Friday I'm seeing my ex colleagues lunch time. I do hope he's there tomorrow.

It's been 77 with 88% humidity, needless to say I've not been overly busy!

Good afternoon Janet. It finally rained yesterday afternoon but it just made it hotter and more humid. I’m glad I’m reading about the spider Don stepped on with the babies now and not last night when I went to bed…yuk, I would’ve had spider nightmares…lol.
