Since we're all going to be together for my birthday I'd best start thinking of things for 'the game'. I've been looking about and found about a dozen bits and I'll get a couple of dog toys and some sweets and biscuits as the children love those. Then all I have to do is wrap... 

I did a little of the puzzle this afternoon but won't be doing any more until Sunday as I'll be seeing Ness at the hall in the morning and am unlikely to be home before 5ish. Steady progress, I'll have plenty of time then.

As for your mention about the weeks, they fly by. When we were children it seemed ages between school holidays and the only time they went fast was during those holidays. That's probably it we're on a permanent holiday.

I finally went to the library and had a chat with the girl there. Hilary, the chief librarian, had said she'd sort it but I was still deleted, the girl clicked a button and said I've reinstated you for another 3 years. Well she thinks I'll be here that long anyway!

They're just saying on the weather forecast this region has only had 39% of our normal rainfall for this year so they've put a hosepipe ban on, which means no hosepipes to top up pools, water gardens or wash cars. I'm not sure what the car wash up the road will do.

Hi Janet, it's been 76 with 67% humidity unfortunately without much wind, the only good thing is the washing is still getting dry.  I had a long chat with Sam this morning, she's been arranging for everyone to go to hers on the 19th for my birthday. As they're all working it's the first day they can all be together. I'm fine about it as they're holding later in the afternoon so if we're still under this 'heat dome' it won't be so hot. 

I spoke with Sheila this morning and she asked how the meal went yesterday evening. I told her it was very average and she then said she'd recently been there with her granddaughter and not been impressed, pity she didn't mention it earlier!!
