Good morning Janet. Thanks for the summer quacker. I’m glad Don was able to avoid an accident. So scary with the way people drive nowadays. Seems no one pays attention to the road. This is the reason I don’t drive on the highway. Just thinking about it makes me nervous. I’m watching the news about the flash flood in Texas over the weekend. Such devastation and so sad. Those poor little girls at the summer camp. I hope you enjoyed the holiday weekend. Our 4th was nice, low key and simple. Penny did well with the fireworks. My son-in-law set some off in our backyard and I brought her out to watch. I wrapped her in a blanket and she seemed like she was enjoying them. I think she was glad to be outside with us rather than being in the house alone. It’s going to be another hot day for us today. The temperature is going up in the 90’s…something you are used to…lol. ❤   thank you for your visit!  ツ  It has been lovely and quiet.  I'm enjoying it.  I went out and trimmed and dead headed a few flowers.  It's quite warm today so I didn't stay outside for long.  Horton is still a shaggy mess but he'll be nice and clean on Tuesday with a shorter hair cut.  I was quite surprise with my flowers!  I've made it to 'blue gnome'.  I don't think I'll be able to get any higher though.   I hope can get some sleep so you don't feel so tired.  xo

When is your next appointment with the dermatologist? You haven't mentioned if it's been bad so I'm hoping your skin is Ok at the moment

Tomorrow I must remember to take my book back to the library or I'll be getting a fine and that would never do!  Yesterday I had a small win on the national lottery about $90 and a premium bond win of $275 a couple of days before that. It will all help to pay for the new roof!

Hi Janet, we've had rain but fortunately not until after I'd been to the street fair. I didn't buy much but managed to find some marmalade and fudge to take back to the convent. It poured down while we were eating lunch and I came home soon after we'd eaten a lovely roast beef and vegetable dinner followed by warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Since it had stopped raining by then the nuns went to have a look around themselves, they couldn't have gone earlier as they were at church. I was amazed how much road flooding there was fortunately nowhere near as bad as Texas, those poor people, it's dreadful. We only had about an inch in less than an hour and that made the roads bad enough.

I do hope when they went the stalls were still open. I have a short piece of video taken of the town crier. By the time I got to him he'd almost finished but I think you might like the outfit so will send it to you.
