I will need to go for a few groceries tomorrow unfortunately the forecast is for rain, not drizzle and more cold weather.

I had a visit early this evening from Lorraine, the American lady, who lives down the road. She phoned to ask if it was OK to come for a chat. Of course it was OK and she wandered up the road and we spent 3 hours catching up and drinking tea. She said we live so close but hadn't seen each other since Christmas. Where does the time go. Her partner, Tony, has just retired so I doubt we'll be seeing much more of each other now she has him at home! It's her birthday next month so I'll return her visit and must try to think of something she might like as a little gift.

Hi Janet, when I woke this morning there was a slight drizzle but I still thought Alan would come.  No, I should know by now that he only has to see a cloud and he won't work. I don't know how that man makes a living. As I'm never sure what time he'll come I have to wait until midday to be sure he won't show up. I have to admit by then I wasn't in the mood to go shopping so vacuumed through cleaned the kitchen and finished the wasjig puzzle!

I'm glad I stayed home as I had a phone call from Maggie to tell me her sister passed this morning. I know it was expected but poor Maggie was in shock. I'll speak with her tomorrow to see how she's doing.

It's been really cold today 48 with a wind chill that made it feel like 37 and tonight it's down to 32 and they're talking about frosts.
