I've done a little more of the puzzle but will leave the rest until Thursday as I have to be here while they bring all the things they'll need. I'll be stuck here for a couple of days and will need something to do.

I don't need to be reminded that I'm, nearly another year older! OMG the wrong side of 75, it will come to you too one day.  lolol

Reading your need for cleaning behind the sofa, I have a whole conservatory that needs a good clean but I think it best to wait until the work is done or I'm going to end up doing it twice.  We don't remove our windows to clean for which I'm eternally grateful, they'd be too heavy for me to man handle. We do have window cleaners that will come round every so often to clean the outside panes, in fact I saw one at Sue and Ian's today, he also cleaned all the UPVC around the windows and the sill. I usually do my own, but I may ask him next time he comes if he'll clean my facias.

We have a lot of homeless people about the town, last time I went to the High Street there was a small closed tent in a shop doorway with lots of possessions around it, I wondered what would happen when they wanted to open the shop.

Hi Janet, I've not been far today, I waited for Alan to come and spent some time with him in the garden. He also boxed in the pipes under my boiler, so now I have to get some emulsion or chalk paint to cover the bare wood, I'm wondering if I still have some from when the kitchen was last decorated, I'll have to check in my shed. I will say that's not going to happen until the roof is done as the shed is 'somewhat' full from things from the conservatory or should I say you open the door at your peril, it's full.

It's still warm and muggy, 74f with 88% humidity, but at least they're now saying it 'might' not rain Thursday and Friday. I'm sure the roofing guys have this problem all the time and have a way to stop it getting inside.
