Gwen and I had a lovely meal and we were strolling around a garden centre and she suddenly felt poorly. She suffers from diverticulitis and obviously something she'd eaten didn't agree with her so I took her home. She phoned me later to say she was feeling a bit better and apologized . I told her not worry about it, it must be awful to suffer with it and anyway I'd had a nice lunch and was going out again tomorrow with the girls.

Sam phoned this evening to say she's now finished at school, the holidays have begun. It feels like the children haven't been back to school for a long and now they're off for about 6 weeks. I'm sure I never had that many holidays. lol She also said she'd like some of my cookery books...she may regret that. lol

Hi Janet I just managed to lose my message to you, how did I do that, must be getting old!!  It's been much the same as yesterday 69F with a lot of cloud and 86% humidity and it should be much the same tomorrow.

I tried the car first thing but no joy, it did start after a struggle so I contacted Andrew and asked if he could get the new lock. He said they would need to do an order for it, then he'd have the car in to take the old lock out and then get someone special in who sets up new locks. He reckoned that the specialist would cost about $150. So with the bit, Andrews time and the 'special someone' it could be up to $500. But it has to be done, so I've booked it in for the 28th as I'm busy this week and have Lora's funeral next week and I couldn't remember what else. He said if it breaks down in the meantime to have it towed to him. Somehow that doesn't fill me with confidence.
