I spent ages this morning sorting out car breakdown cover. OMG I've been with the same people for years and it's worked just fine, now they don't want to cover me if I have an accident more than 10 miles from my home. I phoned them to see if it was true and the man said yes they had a new firm covering their insurance and that was the new rule. Anyway I've now got a different company covering the car and they should be sending me the paperwork in the next 5 days.

I did go out for an hour this afternoon to check out mattress toppers. My friend Sheila wants one and I said I'd take her this coming Saturday but the twins should be coming to her so it will be at least another week before we can go. I thought if I take a look in a couple of stores, take some pictures so she has some idea what they have maybe I could get one for her.

As my back is much better I did some more of the puzzle. Now I have the conservatory roof done and it's not too hot I could start one out there too, greedy I know, but why not, I could move from one to the other. LOLOL I need to get the one on the puzzle board finished as I'm seeing Maggie in 9 days time then I can take a new one for us to work on.

Hi Janet, I hope Don's lip is a bit better and you get your flu jab. I have my appointment at the beginning of October.

We had a very wet morning, it just didn't stop raining and Paul's gutter was overflowing again with the water coming into my garden. When it eased a bit I went next door and offered to let some water out from his water butt so it would stop backing up but he said it was empty. I don't believe him, he may have emptied it but we've had so much rain it's probably filled up again. He said to send Alan round next week to take a look. Unfortunately there's nothing else I can do except have a pond in my garden and hope Alan turns up.

Good morning, Janet. I’m sure yesterday was a hard day for you with the anniversary of your Mom’s passing. My Mom’s is next Wednesday, the 24th. It’s been 2 years and I still feel very sad and miss her terribly. We were very close. I will visit the cemetery and this year I’m going to stop at Dunkin and get us each a coffee. I will tell her about what’s been going on and talk like we would…with coffee. I will leave the cup on her grave marker. The cups are paper, not styrofoam. It will either tip over and spill, evaporate or a squirrel will get its caffeine in for the day. I will go back in a few days to visit and get rid of the cup. Last year I let a pink heart Mylar balloon go. I also let one balloon go on her birthday which is mid October. I know both of these things are probably frowned upon. The balloon and the cup are both biodegradable. I am the same as you with the dentist. I had my teeth cleaned regularly and my last time was just prior to Covid. I haven’t had them cleaned since. I’ve been to the dentist for other things though. I also don’t get a flu shot. I do lots of immunity boosting things when school starts through spring and knock on wood I don’t really get sick even with the kids being in school and always have the sniffles and or something else going on. How is Don’s lip today? Do they think the blood pressure medicine is causing that?  I hope they get it straightened out. It’s another beautiful day!! Enjoy your day 💜
