Oh nooooo that’s SO SCARY. I have osteoporosis as well so I was so lucky too. It’s def worth the money to switch to a shower. I have a shower head in a low bath in the main bathroom (with my seat in it) but my en suite bath is VERY deep and it’s getting hard to climb in and out. I’ve had an estimate on changing it to a walk-in tub but it’s ridiculous. I banged my lower leg  on the brass hand grips you lean on to get out and that took about a month and a half to stop hurting to the touch. There was definitely some internal bleeding as the bruising just kept spreading and spreading .. I was really remiss in not going to the doctor. 
In the flat in the UK my parents replaced their bath with a shower and I’m grateful now. It really is the best way to go and since you’ve had two falls you really must. They have really good safety bars to hang into as well. Glad you are ok and didn’t do irreparable damage xxx
