I messaged Ness earlier and she's recovered from her cold so we're meeting up at the church hall. I'm glad as I have some bottles of soft drinks for the bottle stall at the Christmas fair which I think may be next week.

I'll see Sheila afterwards but when I spoke with her she didn't know if the twins would be coming. I asked what they'd like for Christmas and have suggested Anna may prefer money this year as they're too young to understand what it's all about. I'm hoping to see her or maybe Sheila will remember to ask her. Unfortunately Sheila's memory is not what it was but at 86 it's understandable.

Guy is making more progress with his broken leg. It's about 5 weeks now however he's not had any follow up from the hospital about physio or maybe getting crutches in stead of a walking frame, which he's not allowed to take outside. He said he would phone the surgeon's secretary to see what happens next. I think they've forgotten him.

Hi Janet, we've had a better day sunny and dry, it's a pity we had such a wet one yesterday when Sue was here.

I've been out to get a few things including the local paper and some nougat and turkish delight for auntie for Christmas. I get it at M&S [Marks and Spencer] as I know how much she loves their stuff. I also bought a new water bottle, mine was getting past its best and I like to have one about. Ian makes me smile when he goes out he takes his everywhere. I was in the doctors waiting room and he came in clutching it. I did think he could have left it in the car but obviously not, or maybe he was trying to make a good impression on the doctor. I do think it helps me drink enough and not just tea.

Hello Janet. I never found a cardinal yesterday and the pottery lottery is going very slow…not fun at all!! It was 5 degrees this morning. I brought Penny out and she peed but wasn’t able to stand the cold on her feet because she kept lifting her paws and was standing up against my leg. I felt so bad for her. I picked her up and brought her in to warm up. She had to go back out about 20 minutes later which I knew she would do because she didn’t finish the first time. I’ve looked into all different types of boots for her but none have good reviews and honestly I can’t see her using them. The Havanese breed is not made for the frigid weather. I wonder how Piper will be. We’ve also had lots of wind lately. Seems like it’s always on nights we have to put our garbage and recycling out. The next morning everyone has stuff in their yards.
