South of here on the lake sounds nasty. Businesses are closed. Highway is open though.
It has warmed up some to minus ten degrees C...but supposed to drop during the day. We get periods of snow squalls...and then clear. A teeny bit of blue sky is showing but the rest is grey and foreboding.
I had the white fielder last night...fortunately I found what I needed as my garden only spilled forth three.

Oh well about the cactus being delivered early...you have more time to enjoy its beauty.
And that furniture...I would hate to think of it being on the porch...even with a tarp on it. You know how little animals like to find a place for the winter. So now your daughter has to deal with finding some delivery company to pick up and deliver?

Gosh...what is with Amazon? I see people posting on Facebook wondering if anyone knew the door shown in the picture of where their package was dropped off...as it wasn't at their home.
I finally finished decorating the house yesterday...and I have gifts ready to take to our friends when we meet them for lunch next week. And put kid's stuff in a pillowcase that she decorated while in elementary school. We don't really do gifts...but there is always a little something for her. This time...filters for her air cleaner...hahaha...some new kitchen knives, some Grinch socks from McDonalds...and an acrylic mug that I found that has a little pumpkin in the bottom...so you fill the glass with whatever and when you get to the bottom...the little pumpkin is revealed. I thought kind of cute. Oh...and some underwear. Who can't use underwear?

It has been snowy this afternoon. Never did a noon walk as was slow getting lunch together after yoga and I just wrapped up the washing up after, a couple minutes before I had to log in. But we went for a walk after that...my daily date with Liza didn't happen as she was visiting a brother-in-law for his birthday...he was in the hospital awaiting surgery. I cleaned off the car and Kevin blew the snow out of the driveway. Now ready for another day.
I am not feeling Fairyland at all. A friend was looking for the white festive mouse so I set up a couple times for her and she got to the eighth light so that worked. But beyond that...I will open the door at seven and put out proper food...and see what happens while watching television. That is really the best that I can do. We are almost halfway through the calendar.

Another grey day...not much extra snow but it is colder again. Don't want to do a thing.
Was looking out the back yard and realized how much we changed the yard for Fang. We had landscaping done because she would run around the evergreen and left a track so put in flagstones...and then put in a gravel area at the back as she liked to dig. We put out a sandbox for her to dig in. The fence was too low at five feet...as she could jump straight up and over...so had to build higher. We put a stoop on the deck so that the step out wouldn't be a far down. We made a ramp to get off the deck. We put a fencing around the deck so that she could not do flying leaps off it. We put in a dog door...and then removed it because she had hurt her knee and didn't want her racing around. We planted cedar trees along the back fence as she liked to brush against them on her walks...so now she had ones of her own to brush against...and she did.

I have decided that I will not spend my evening hunting...I open the door...go watch TV and then seek the critter out when programs end at ten. Works much better for me as I don't miss the plot in the program. We are watching Malice now...two episodes tonight and one of Death in Paradise.
Am off to bed. Hoping that the snow stops falling. Busses were not running today...had my exercise class but not many there.
Got tickets to see Ian Thomas in April. Better not be a storm then as it is in Owen Sound...forty minutes away.
