I'm just watching a rerun of an old series from the early 70's with Tony Curtis and Roger Moore called the Persuaders. They were so young then in their early to mid 40's, those were the days!!

There were no new ones at the hall, well not ones I was attracted to but I almost bought a few paper backs as there were one or two that looked like I'd enjoy but since they'll be there another time I may get them next week.  They have a food raffle there each week and I always take some biscuits ot tinned things and Pat who organises it puts them in a cupboard until they're needed. She was telling me that last week someone had stolen them. I was stunned I couldn't believe that someone would steal from a church hall. All I could say was they must have been hungry. Unfortunately there are several groups who use the hall, like pre school children with their mums, and a couple of woman's clubs. As she said I have no idea who took them but it's not the first time. I have to say it almost put me off taking anything.

Hi Janet, it's been a pleasant day mostly sunshine and almost 53. I met Lora and Ness for my regular Saturday morning cuppa but today one of the ladies at the hall had been celebrating her diamond wedding anniversary last night and had brought a lot of food, like pasties, sausage rolls, cheese scones and quiche. Needless to say we all had to help them eat it!

By the time I got home it was 4ish so I managed to get some more of the puzzle done. Tomorrow I'm thinking I'll need to do some housework as the dust seems to have moved in! Then as a reward I'll finish it!
