According to the forecast we're in for lots of rain tonight and tomorrow, I hope so then I won't need to water the new plants. I've just realised the rain is supposed to last on and off most of the week, I wonder if the ramp will get done.

I'm going to the hospital tomorrow for the hip x ray hopefully I'll find some parking close by, last time I went to that department I had to park a 10 minute walk away, not great when the hip is playing up.

Sounds like you had a great time at the Death Valley Market, I'd love to see the giant donkeys. As for Sarsaparilla it was a drink mentioned in the old fashioned western movies and children drank it. I often wondered what it was. I imagined it was like Coke or Pepsi you'll have to let me know.

While I was there the window cleaner arrived and she was telling me that it was the first time he'd come as the man she had used was retiring so she'd told him not to come any more. [She wasn't very happy with his cleaning skills she'd had marks on an upstairs window for months which he'd not cleaned] Anyway the new man had just done the lounge window and the door bell rang and it was her old window cleaner asking what was going on and she said I told you I have someone else as you're retiring. At this point he starts to clean the same window as the other guy is cleaning and I'm sitting inside watching so thought it best to go to her aid. Fortunately by that point the old cleaner decided to go and she spoke to the new guy and as far as we were concerned all was well. That was until I said where was he as no other windows were being cleaned and we realised he'd gone too. So now she has one clean window and no window cleaners. LOLOL

Hi Janet, I had begun to think Alan was not coming as it was getting late so I gave him a call, left a message and wonder of wonders he called me back and said he was only a few minutes away. When he got here I explained Sue was away and he could spend a little more time at mine and he said he couldn't as he's still trying to catch up from the bank holiday. He asked what I needed doing and I mentioned the shoe rack, strimming and the planting out the dahlias and he did it all in an hour, that man can work hard if he needs to. He's coming back on Wednesday to build a new ramp outside Paul's back door for his wheel chair.

As it was so late before he finished I stopped and had a salad for lunch before I went out. I had a voucher for some free ice cream from Asda so went there dropped it off at home then went to see auntie again so I could drop of the ruby wedding card for my cousin, her son, as she'll see him before the big day.
