I had a phone call from Dawn who's away on holiday in Scotland. She's asked if I'd go and see her neighbour, Wyn, and bring her tortoise home to mine as it's escaped twice this week and Dawn's husband doesn't want to keep trying to find it. I'll go in the morning and keep it here until she comes home from her hols. I think it will end up in a tortoise rehoming centre. I've been looking round to see if I can find a container big enough to bring him home, it will be like old times.

I spent a little while in the garden and picked up another 193 blossoms from the camellia, I've become obsessed with seeing how many there are, isn't that just too sad. LOLOL

Hi Janet, I spoke with Maggie again today and she tells me the funeral will be on the 8th June plus she seems in a better place today.  Maggie lived in the next road to her sister when she lived at home but once she went in to assisted living it was more like a 30 minute drive. I've said I could go down for the funeral if she would like it but she says as there'll be her sons, nephews and their children plus people from the home to talk to and she thinks she'll not have much time for me, which is fine. She suggested I gave it a miss. She's coming to see me 3 days before so we'll talk again and I'll see how she if she still feels like the same.

It's been a bit milder today 53 but feels like 48 and although we had a little rain I finally went to do my grocery shopping.

My cousin Judith called to say we need to have a cousins lunch! As she's just off on holiday I've arranged for us to go on the 12th June and have rounded up Christine, Malcolm and Hilda to come with us.
