I'm wondering when everything dies back in the winter and I weed in the spring If I'll find them somewhere. I'll ask Alan to look out for them, now that was a joke. lol

You've probably saved the rose bush and given yourself heatstroke, poor you. When I was younger I'd get red lumps on my arms and it's called polymorphic light eruption due to ultraviolet light, best to keep out of the sun for a few days. Look it up and see if it's what you've got, then you might get some idea of what to put on it. It's a while since I had it and I think I used a little steroid cream.

I've decided I have a night visitor to my back garden. I have a small bird dish like a big plate on the ground for the frog and birds. It's only been there for a couple of months and it had 2 little birds a couple of inches high fitted by small spikes that went in 2 holes on the edge. 2 weeks ago when I went outside in the morning to feed the birds I found one of the little birds laying in the middle of my grass. I put it back on the dish then a week ago one went missing. I searched the garden but no joy, then this morning the other one was gone. I can only think it's a fox, I can't imagine anything else big enough to pick them up, totally weird.

Hi Janet, it's been much the same as yesterday 72 with 72% humidity and a light breeze, nice.

Lorraine came this afternoon for a few hours [3 and a half!] I wonder how we have so much to talk about but we do. She enjoyed the fresh cream sponge and tea and to be honest so did I. Her birthday was 15 days ago so she's been a whole year older than me until tomorrow!

I didn't go out but spent time with the puzzle, it's almost finished and as I'm not doing much tomorrow I may finish it then. I will go and see auntie in the afternoon as it's been a week since I last saw her. I'll take her a piece of the sponge, fortunately the sell by date is the 18th so it should be fine.
