As in the manger a baby lay
A bright north star came out to play
Three Wisemen from afar seen it shine
To follow it they felt inclined
They felt a message had been sent
So on this long hike they went
They didn't think it odd a stranger
Would lead the to a lowly manger
There among the straw and sheep
A tiny baby lay fast asleep
Mary and Joseph were filled with joy
As they looked with love at their baby boy
Gifts the Wisemen left that morn
And so Christmas Day was born
It still continues to this day
Now they use a tree . not hay
And since this day is very near
Merry Christmas and good cheer.
