If you go to the "Gold" tab in Wildlife it shows which pots you can use to convert them into the various vases. It is kind of fiddly, but if you go into your storage, the pot will give "make a vase" as one of the choices (in addition to "use" or "sell"). Then if you click on that, it kind of guides you through the Alchemy process. It is one of those logic/guess and check things, so the process is slightly different for everyone.
For example, to get an elephant pot, I went in and selected "make a vase" for one of my mermaid snow globes (you can select any pot that works if you have it). Then I did guess and check to figure out my combination -- for me, I had to use a blue Carmena Aviflora, with Sparkle Dust, and a Sunshine Wand.
I think you will need to have planted a carmena aviflora, but it will tell you what plant you need if you don't have it in your garden.
I hope this makes some sense. I had to do some tweaking to figure out exactly how it works.
