Minster is a short drive from where I live, it would have been quite rural when your mum was stationed there, it still is in parts.
My dad worked at Minster Laundry for a while before the war.
Those cherries would have been the best, no wonder your mum remembered them! Xxx

Ha, ha, I think some of our Roos might be a little drunk too, the way they hop right across in front of cars and trucks. They come off the worse for wear unfortunately, not mentioning the damage to cars, not too much with trucks though, they are bigger than the Roos. LOL

the show was fantastic, all the songs from the 60s. Very late night though, didn't get home till well after 11pm and then I even read for awhile (not long) Even though I was tired driving home, about 28 kms and had to stay alert in case kangaroos popped out or koalas on the road. I was still wide awake, hence the reading.
Yes, I liked the Kinks, liked a lot of English bands that we never got to see. xx
