lol! Yes, he’s doing well thankyou. He managed to chop down a rather large bush in his front garden (or you might call it a small tree!) and mow his lawn - says he needs a couple of days rest now haha!

How lucky to have the house martins visit and have a view of their young! What a lovely memory.
We had a swallows nest under the eaves by the back door, they returned for several years but my husband (in his wisdom) covered the bit where they were nesting partly, because of all their droppings outside our back door making so much mess, it was when the children were young & it was our main walk-through. They never returned after that, I have photos of them somewhere xxx

I like the idea of a typist or computer chair, I really do need to get a comfy chair to support my back, though I have the right sort of home for a chaise longue - we used to have one on the upstairs landing, underneath the stuffed pheasant in a glass box lol, can’t remember what happened to it now.
Living here in the South East, we get the best of the coast & the countryside & it’s also slightly warmer than the rest of the country. The problem being that our beautiful countryside is being built on & we’re losing so much of it, it’s so sad, new houses going up everywhere now, hundreds of them.
Are you due to go your friends party this weekend? I’ve no plans yet, probably potter in the veggie garden xxx

Makes sense they were called scraps, I couldn't remember what they were called except it started with an S. Most of the people at the dance wouldn't have known who I was, except for the ones I was with and they probably told anyone who asked, that I was a Colonial from OZ. 🤣🤣🤣

Hope it's not too drastic at the Dentist and pain free. I only just realised you live in Leeds. I've been to Leeds, way back in 2001. I had a hire car and an English friend from Reading, was showing me around on our way to Blackpool (and beyond) for a weekend of Rock 'n Roll. I'd heard so much about Blackpool, it was great to finally see it for myself. We visited a friend of his in Leeds and we had fish and chips and it was the first time I've ever heard of them (people I was with) asking for the scratchies/scrunchies, or a similar name for the bits of fish batter that fallen in or fallen off the fish and was being cooked on it's own in the oil. We went to a dance in Leeds too while we were there. I got dragged up to do some dance I'd never seen or heard of before. In the end my friend got up and showed me what I was supposed to be doing, I had no idea even though I tried to follow the other dancers. Embarrassing!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Now that sounds like me… dont always want to know all the details, just get on with it!
