My Unicorn Friend

The raindrops had stopped falling on that cool summers' day,
The sun was thawing the clouds away.
When suddenly from behind the rainbow in a silvery haze,
I stared in awe; I couldn't help but gaze.

Something magnificent in gentle flight
Came drifting down like snow in the night.
Something magical with eyes shining bright,
With a sturdy horn, and a mane of pure white.

I gazed at this vision or was it a dream,
Was it a Unicorn, could it have been?
A mythical creature we've all heard of,
The creature of hope and true love.

Bringing some hope to my lonely heart,
Trying to mend the faith that had fallen apart.
I reached out to touch its beautiful face,
Longing to take it in a loving embrace.

The eyes of the Unicorn met mine for a moment in time,
The message was clear, this creature was mine.
To walk beside me on those long, lonely days,
To help me understand its magical ways.

I had found a friend, who would always be near,
In times of sorrow, loss and fear.
I carry this vision close to my heart,
My love for my Unicorn will never part

Peaceful dove up in the tree,
Bringing peace to you and me!
If only this were really true,
If birds could bring peace to me and you...
A million birds I'd send, today,
Hoping they would find their way....
To every earthly corner reach.
And every human soul to teach
And peace on earth would really be,
A lasting true reality.

And left a feather just to say 🕊

THE MOST AMAZING MERMAID ~
Her tail moved with the greatest speed, 
like you have never seen.
She was the fastest swimmer 
and could beat a submarine!
She’d do Aquatic water sports 
and kept so very fit,
but Pumping iron she didn’t do,
She couldn’t get the kit.

Instead she lifted heavy rocks,
her muscles to develop.
She’d skip with seaweed skipping ropes,
then luncheon with a scallop,
she was so very much admired by
Mermen of the sea, so
So captivated by her charm, 
though sub normality.

She got King Neptune in her special
Gym Aquamarine, 
then showed him how to work out too,
and soon became his Queen, as
Soon he fell in love with her
Their Wedding was divine,
adorned with riches from the sea 
she looked so really fine.

A Nice Dressed crab was her best man,
A Lobster maid of honour, with
Shoals of pretty seahorses and
Tropical rasbora.
They lived a long and happy life, 
you wonder how I know?
A message in a bottle on the
Sandy shore said so.

The Footstep Fairies

The footstep fairies follow you
Wherever you may walk,
And when you tread the grasses down,
They push back every stalk.
Though you may watch for hours,
But hide themselves behind your feet,
And in among the flowers.
Then, when you've gone along your way,
They tug with might and main,
Till all the little blades of grass
Are standing straight again.
