Hi - you have to spot birthday critters in other gardens. Once you spot the required number a cake drops in your garden if you have an empty plate waiting.

There are some food plates that you earn through completing quests/challenges. These are permitted in your garden in addition to the maximum 2 regular food plates.

One is the Gnome Plate. After you finish the Fairytales, you get the Gnome Plate. Then you can put the GP (Gnome Plate) in your garden plus 2 others. It can be 2 completely low, or it can be a high and low, etc.
