Hi Irene, well we took my dad to see mum today, instantly she knew me and hubby and my dad, she then looked at Tilly and said oh i know you, i could never forget you and gave her a great big smile, today was a good day and she was quite interactive, i guess its taking each day as it comes, some days she will know us and others we will be strangers to her, well you take care xx

hi Irene, well today Friday mum had a good day so i suggested if i could ring Saturday morning see how she is could i visit bringing my dad, they said yes.  The antibiotics have started to work and she is a lot calmer now and more interactive, so fingers crossed i can take mt dad to see her, and yes i will mention you, but sadly i fear she wont remember you, but thats the saddest part of dementia, they forget there friends and children, but it wont stop me mentioning you to her, take care xx

Hi Irene, yes mum isn't doing to good at the moment, she is not in a good place to visit her, my mums friend from the age of 5 year old went to see her and when she left mum was not in a good place. My dad the next day with my brother and wife went to see her and again she wasn't in a god place. The staff at the home think its because she at the time had a undiagnosed chest infection and urine infection that was causing here to be in crisis and when family came it wasn't she was in crisis because they came, it was because of the infections that was causing her to be in crisis cos she couldn't say i am poorly if that makes sense. So we are taking advise from the care home to not visit just yet until she is stable and infections go xx
