It’ll be worth it. My friend loves cruising & gets away as much as she can. Loves the Caribbean, weather always great. They do have a rainy season, but not sure when. Even so, the showers pass quickly & the sun is soin back again. I’m glad to have a passport again as I have no ID, which seems to be needed for many things. I don’t drive so I now have photo evidence. Even though we look like two criminals lol. We had to take our glasses off so obviously we look slightly different.    I hope we get away again before they expire. We don’t like going away & leave the dog. He was unhappy in the kennels & we felt so guilty leaving him. Our friend loves having him, Buddy enjoys staying so we don’t worry. Our friends just up from us love having him when we go for meals of visiting people he can’t come with us. But he won’t walk for them. At least when stays with our friend over Middlesbrough way, he’ll walk for him. He takes him all over in the car as he likes a good walk every day. We’ll still feel guilty though. Xx

The prices are high, I did a cruise with my parents when I was 17. I was sick a few times. They gave me an injection then I slept all day. That’s what stays with me lol. It was May & was full of pensioners lol. went round the Canary Islands & Madeira. If you book a couple of years in advance, at least you have time to save the money. We booked in February for June next year, so time to get rest of the money together. The passports were expensive, glad we’ve got them because they go up to just over £100 from April. Shocking xx

I hope your sister has a better time on the cruise next year. It can’t have been nice being unwell.     We were looking at a cruise for our 40th next year but I wasn’t sure. We decided to go to Italy. We said we’d never go abroad again but it’s a special anniversary, we never know what’s round the corner. I just don’t like the queues etc at the airport. It’s so slow & not many seats. Buy the holiday will be amazing as we’ve never been before.
It’s warming up in the lounge as the sun comes in. That’s as far as I’m going, apart from the garden later for the washing lol. Xx

Getting married at this time of year, especially back in the 40/50/60’s, the weather could still be what you expected, cold with snow etc. not so sure now. Our friends who married ear,y April last year, it was a gorgeous weekend, sunny & warm.

Was sorting the washing as it clouded over.  Sun back out. Very cold, doubt the snow will stay with you. Funny weather but not out of the woods as it’s still only March. A few more cold days I think. Xx

Friends of a friend flew out to Oz last week to see their son. Staying 6 weeks. They go every year. She had to change all the flights. I’d have just given it a miss this year. Unless you really have to be there, stay put xx

One of my sons friends was on holiday in Dubai when it kicked off. He was in touch with him for awhile but now he doesn’t know if he’s made it home. We have a daily flight to Dubai from Newcastle airport, they didn’t go for a couple of weeks but have started again. A friend has a relative who teaches in Abu Dhabi. He came home to sort things out with a house they’re buying here. Left his wife & baby there & couldn’t get back. Very frightening. Heard a few stories which make you glad your fami,y are all here & safe.. even going on holiday to the Greek Islands would worry me. My daughter has booked to go to Rhodes. She booked it last year. She can’t cancel as she’ll lose all she’s paid. And it’s a good chunk of money too. Xx
