bit of a change today up here, very windy and chilly, my paper bin blew over so I had to go retrieving things from neighbours gardens and a couple of pots went over so had to go out and secure things all round the lodge just in case, wind should finish around 2.30pm then be wall to wall sunshine but only 21 so thats comfy enough, is it windy and cold where you are?  xx

Yes a much better day weather wise, got some jobs done and watched some tennis and the footie, popoed round to see a neighbour fir half an hour and catching up on the soaps now. I checked the forecast and it's not showing very high temps next week now, I hope that's right I can manage up to 25° taking care so that will suit me if it"s right xx

Oh thats not nice for your b in law, hope it soon clears for him.  These sort of temps suit me that we have at the mo, managed to have a little walk  yesterday  and didn't have to water my pots last night with the rain we had, would be nice if it did that every night. xx

Morning Linda, no they are not cheap, but if you have a medical condition that would benefit it might be worth the expence if we are to keep getting these heat waves, I believe the next one will start next Monday for us. Not been outside as yet today but there is a cool breeze coming through the open window in my bedroom, I should get myself motivated to get all housework up to date whilst it's cooler but I've become very lazy with the heat. Enjoy your trip to the garden centre and happy Anniversary. I've got Dave coming for a cuppa this afternoon and gets bringing me a ducks breast he cooked for me yesterday so I'll only need to do some veg  for my meal tonight xx

Defo A/C unit will be better for you, my place is the same, late afternoon and evening the sun is on my lounge/dinner/kitchen and it is nearly all windows and 2 sets of glass doors so gets stifling and once it gets to a certain temp the fans don't work, plus they won't be good for your eyes if your too near them, they will dry out very quickly, I'm suffering from dry eyes with one blowing directly at me, so if I were you and you can afford to get one do it, the sooner the better as we are told we have to expect this every year now with global warming xx

Morning Linda, nice to see you back, to be a much better week weather-wise but still hot and back to the very high temps again next week, I've found it exhausting and done very little all week, exept play games on my tablet and laptop, my laptop kept overheating so had to limit my time on it. I also watched tennis from Eastbourne on I player,  and looks like Wimbledon will be a hot one.  not even been shopping, luckily I'm very organised and always have enough in my freezer to get me by for any adverse weather, but I will have to go today, totally out of veg now, I thought about your sister, so lucky they took the fans, don't go straining your eyes playing too much xx

hope car gets repaired OK and not too expensive. I've just spent a couple of weeks researching my car insurance which is up for renewal, it's a minefield, reading all the small print, but I got it sorted on Saturday, hope you have a win this afto, think I'll go for a walk it's dull and miserable but not cold, feel like I need to get out, had a chap fit me a new blind this morning in the skylight, hoping for more sun so I can use it!!!  xx

pleased your neighbour took you to the hospital etc. much more comfortable way of doing it. hope you dont have to wait longer for the op than 6 months, like you I'm not playing much these days got bored with the game. Still waiting for some decent weather when it's ben dry there has been a cold wind so still cant get outside  xx
