Morning Rebecca life is a treadmill sometimes, whatever happenens sooner or later is starts moving again and you gotta keep up again, . Working at hope does have advandtages but disadvantages too, 6 months after the covid craziness wit everything working from home or now, many got what the germans called "corona bauch" which translates to corona stomach i.e. a slight beer belly or worse be included, Heathwise many things are getting better but the dentist is always problematic if treatment needed, normally have to go  a clinic and be put on an iv drip and be wired up, and for a week before self inject twice daily with a anti-stroke medicament which istn nice , after treatment youa re left with blue patches everywhere where the blood was so thin it runs into all the capillaires,yuk ! i am an abosulute scaredy cat with the needles. When i was young i would have to take diazepam and got carried by me neighbours totally stoned out my brain for even a filling then sleep for 48 hours afterwards, but gotta say felt absoluetely fantastic for weeks after! Currently a filling is needed but have to make an appointment with a specialist to see how and when to do it ! Hope you are all helping e

Sincere condolencies Rebecca, words dont help I know but are meant in earnest. I lost mine a few years ago, parents normally have the role of a hub, a kind of epicentre they keep things together across different generations , info, contacts , news etc and when they are no longer there that is irreplaceable and often lost. I hope you all pull together , support each other and keep in contact. Look its easy to forget so many things too , big hug on its way on the trade winds, be safe and look after yourself x

morning Rebecca mowing the lawn, ahhhh those were the days ........ puts on a comfy pair of slippers by the fireplace pipe in hand. I think last time i mowed was in september , it never dried out here or it was frozen. This week is carnival week so a lot of people walking around in fancy dress brightens the place, today is procession day, then tomorrow ash wednesday the mood drops and historically everyone is broke, pubs are empty and downbeat until march. Shall watch from the window this year its raining and not gonna stop. In the city the odd adult uses umberllas to catch as many sweets thrown by the floats as possible thats not done here, your reputation would go sub zero !!!! Wishing you a few more happy mowing days before your summer closes x

Baby was missed again cannot finish my quest 😞

Whaa thats a lifelong battle in itself, one of my relations is in hospital needed a pancreas transplant never knew that could be done but apparently can actually cure diabetes but yeah seems a bit extreme but I think he has othr issues too . type 2 really got to be kept in check. Following diets aint so easy I have to keep my cholesterol in the blood down to under 50, so not more thn 200g meat a week and huge list of forbidden food like Butter,  , I do find it a tuf one. I Know some people who are diabetic and all those with type generally carry syringes everywhere they go and panic when forgotten, I hope whatever is turned up goes away soon , groundhogs  today most saw their own shadow so that means 6 more weeks winter in the usa and your side 6 weeks more summer , ready for it?

Sending you positive vibes on the trade winds, diabetes has so many different symptoms  my mum used to tell me its just a condition not an ilness and then after all this heart and stroke stuff doc said last month IF i develop it which is possible as it is family , it increases the risk by another 50% of further problems . Its such a wild card i know a few people with it, but each one has different effects from it, i hope whatever has surfaced can be treated quickly.My way is still on the up but i do have a diabetes and other additional tests end of feb but for now still grateful to be on the planet . Got to work in the office for 2 days next week they went a get togther like the old days followed by evening meal, shall pass on that and get home early  ! Those islands do seem incredible are you planning to move into that area in retirement , it seems a very safe option. Well dont know what lurks in the water there eeeekkkk

New year has started very well, one type of the therapy no longer required , and a one less tablet from yesterday. i jumped up and down and I didnt rattle !!!!! So that one less did the trick. So couldnt have been better really, Bay of Islands oh wow theres so many there, thats seems  a dream to place to be,  lucky you, bet the air quality there is on another level . enjoy and hope the new year is starting better as planned your side too x
