Oh wow!!  I don't think you'll forget THAT birthday!   Thankful for the good alarms and safety precautions in place - no injuries/fatalaties, and  you didn't lose your home!  And you're right - there are worse ways to celebrate than wine and cake!  😎  I did another measly 24 minute WALK today - I even quit the short running sprints because it wasn't a good feeling.  But boy I feel useless - I want to be able to RUN again.  I'll try and be patient.  Thankful I can still do most of my weight workout.  Hoping 2 weeks will do it for this hamstring and then can start running again.    Well now it is time to start my pies for Thanksgiving Day tomorrow.   Hopefully they turn out tasty.    I hope you have a "quieter" more peaceful week!

Wow - you have had quite the day already!  But you did it, and in a great time (from my perspective!).   Congrats - I hope you don't feel any ill after-affects.  I did a strength training workout today.  My health coach advised that she believes I put a pretty good strain on my hamstring.  So no weighted exercises that affect the hamstring - all others okay.  Running is okay with no incline and no decline, and only  if there is no pain.   If there is pain with any activity, discontinue.  Hopefully in 2-3 weeks it should be okay (unless I push too hard).   And I know that at this age, I'm not willing to screw it up more because I can't afford to have long recovery times - I lose too much.   So off to work I go today - thankfully it's only 5 hours today.  Then I'm home until next Saturday.   I hope you have a nice, restful day!

Good luck on your run!!   I started a new "walk to run" series this morning - my leg started out very stiff.  I know I could not have done a 5 mile run without pushing too much.   It felt better the more I went along.   Did a few sprints of running for two minutes.   It was weird - I definitely wanted to do so much more, but my leg was very happy and actually felt a little better at the end.  So I guess I made the right decision.   I'll just take it slow.  Your beef stew sounds yummy - it's a cold, damp day here today, so that would be perfect!  Off to work I go!  Hoping for a busy day so that it goes by quickly!

p.s.  You are right - this getting old thing is not nice at all!  Wait until you get in your 60s!! 😄

Oh wow - I am SO sorry!!   You have not had an easy time at all!  I hope the chiropractor is able to help.   I have had some experience with shoulder issues - had rotator cuff repair done on both, and one involved the bicep.  If there was one piece of advice I could give it would be to do shoulder exercises with the bands religiously - just two movements, but boy they really help to strengthen.  I'm sure you'll have to wait until it heals up.   And I know of someone who had the pelvis issue - that was a matter of time to heal - so hard to do!  I also have some kind of injury - not sure what.   I think part of it started out with some irritation in my hamstring when I did an over-zealous set of donkey kicks with ankle weights.  But now I have pain in my hip that goes into my quad.  I managed to do an easy 3 mile run the other day but I don't think it's wise to do tomorrow's scheduled 5 mile run.  I am going to do an easy run tomorrow and see how I do.  I think I'll forget about finishing the 10k training challenge for now and do a series with some easy runs.   About 20 years I was training for a marathon, and I got to the 15 mile stage and ended up with a very bad stress fracture in my femur bone that was visible on an xray.   So I'm a little paranoid right now and would rather take it easy.   Maybe I'll add in a workout on the Elliptical machine.  Anyway - let me know how your run goes tomorrow.   Don't push it with your pelvis.  If it hurts.....stop!  Good luck!

Are the back spasms since your fall?   Hopefully those go away quickly - they can't be pleasant!  Maybe some nice stretches might help.  Isn't a great feeling after getting the house cleaned up?  I spend every Thursday doing that!  The dog has the floors messed up within an hour, but for the most  part, it's a lovely feeling.  I hope your day goes well.
